Guest guest
Ah the food journal! I haven't been keeping one for some months now. I eat so little and so deliberately now that I can pretty much recite what I've eaten for the week and most of its nutrition data. What I did for a journal was use Microsoft Excel. This was great because I could keep a daily, weekly, monthly total and averages. How did I do it when I was at work? I've got a way to connect to my home PC and take it over so I would just edit that file remotely. I suppose I could have moved the file back and forth with email though too (poor man's network). I would think there is something out there online where you could keep a food journal though. If not I could probably gin something up in a weekend. Guest guest
I keep a journal for my water intake. I get my protein in but not always my fluids so I keep track. Kathy 220/ 171/ 135 surgery 5/2/
Guest guest
I bought a day planner and am using that. Works well for me. I started to do it on fitday; but once I started back to work that wasn't feasible. I had to write it down and bring it home and put it online. Just as easy to just write it in a dayplanner. Guest guest
I use www.fitday.com, an online journal. It does all the work for you. And it's free. -mamabear

Guest guest
If you want something on the web, try www.sparkpeople.com. You enter your foods for each day and it keeps track of the nutritional information for everything. I've been using it for a few years now. I used to pay for it, but I think it is free now. Some people use FitDay, but I find SparkPeople much easier to use. > > Doesn anyone here keep a journal of what they are eating? If yes, can > you tell me what you keep in it. Guest guest
Thanks to everyone that responded. I forgot about www.fitday.com being mentioned here before. Someone from work had emailed me about sparkpeople.com but I hadn't checked into it. I will try both and see which one works best for me. Oh, Mike in GR, I started the journal in an excel spreadsheet on my treo because I didn't want to use the poor man's network. :-) I./VA > > > > Doesn anyone here keep a journal of what they are eating? Guest guest
Hi, This is a great idea and really shows you what you've been doing good on and what needs improvement. I found a free site called calorie- count.com It keeps track of what you eat and also what you burn for the day. Hope this helps!
