I have a new problem. I have been off work for two weeks and supposed

to return tomorrow and I had planned on returning and not taking the

day off to prepare for my surgery on Tuesday. Anyway, I woke up this

morning and my back went OUT. I couldn't hardly walk so when we

retruned from church I thought I'd get in the pool and do some

exercises and that would help me.........NOPE, now I am in worse shape

than ever. I didn't do anything too much in the pool as I can't

straighten up at all, so most of what I did was just light stretching.

Now I can't lay on my stomach, my back and not very well on my side,

but I can't hang up side down....so now what? I don't want to take my

strong pain meds as I don't want to do anything to put off my surgery

or jeopordise it either.

I am in extreme pain right now and I can't barely walk and I still

can't straighten up. My back has been doing this off an on for years,

but not real often, maybe two or three times a year it gets this bad.

Now I don't know what to do, should I try to go in to work tomorrow? I

didn't go back to church tonight because I couldn't walk, and we just

started our VBS program tonight, I hated missing that, but I just saw

no way of making it.

My husband rubbed some pain ointment on my back and it made a " heat "

treat on it, but that is wearing off and I still can't walk wiothout

hanging on to everything in the house and I still can't straighten up.

I feel like I'm in a fix. What should I do now? What can I take for pain?

I have everything known to man for pain I think......I've always been

a walking pharmacy.

Just need some advice and help.

H.
