Guest guest
I would ask your doctor for a prescription for Regranex. It heals ulcers really fast. It is new. Check with your insurance to see if it is covered because it is 550.00 for a small tube. I had my doctor write my script for 60 grams and I got 4 tubes for one co-pay and I have BC PPO. I have heard some insurance companies don't cover it. I had an ulcer on the tip of my thumb for 5 or 6 months that was really bad and I was using Santyl which is also a great drug too. It is also prescription and would be an alternative for him if the other is not covered. Anyway, that Regranex healed that ulcer up in a couple of weeks. Unbelievable, With the Santyl, you need to soak it and put it on twice a day. The Regranex goes on once for 12 hours covered and no medicine for 12 hours. I have scleraderma and have lived with ulcers on my knuckles for many many years. This is the best stuff. They are both fairly new the Regranex being the newest and best and most expensive unfortunely. It is actually quite ridiculous how much that stuff cost. good luck, diane
