1st appointment

I am so happy to say i had my first appointment yesterday at the Springfield

Illinois SIU Comprehensive Obesity Management Clinic!!! I think it went very

well! i was very worried but excited. i was worried cause i have chroin's and i

was told many doctore will not touch or they will let them only get the lap

band. (I do not want the lap band) Well good to say they do not even do the lap

bands there....woohooo. Everyone was very susprised how much i know about all of

this already. They also stated how happy they all were for me to have such a

great support system, manily my husband. they said that for the most part i have

my eatting habits taken care of, but i need to try to walk a few minents every

day. and change my sugar in my drinks to splinda. well as soon as i get over the

real bad cold then i can not wait to start walking and get this big ball rolling

even faster. i was very happy to hear they do not want me to lose much weight

before surgay. they are only asking

that i tryr to lose .5lbs. a week. when we were discusing the sideeffects to

being over i just started to have tears in my eyes. i have always been a fairly

healthy but larger person. then this past year i was put on starioirds and

gained about 100lbs. so now it seams like everything is going worng with me.

but i am looking ahead! i have many many goals for my self but all are very

reachible. i would love to know anyone else that has gone to this clinc in

springfield, and if they still go, if so....hope to see you there! i am also

sorry about this very long letter to everyone..lol.

Sounds like you are off to a great start with this process.. a support group

is so important in this process..and success... We are here for you as well and

want you to do well and will be here for encouragement, venting,

motivation,etc... I really look forward to sharing this with you.
