Guest guest
Mike, How do your legs feel with all the walking? I have the strangest thing going on, before surgery I could walk allot...since surgery and since losing allot of weight, now my hips are hurting me all the time. I have that deep pain like I need to pop my hip joints now, I cant figure this out, I thought as I lost weight the pains would go away, but this hip thing is all new. I have started walking at the gym on a treadmill rather than what I used to do was walk and the streets near my house. Just curious if anybody else has gone thought this. Guest guest
My hips have always hurt before and after surgery... I am finding that I have a pinch nerve that spreads across... not that it is the same for you, but that seems to be my case I just found out this week. Guest guest
when I had my surgery they had me climb up on the operating table and then put this strange wedge under my back (which was waaaaaaaaaaaaay uncomfortable) to force the stomach area up. I believe if you have a bad back or pinched nerve laying in this position for a couple hours would definitely irritate your back. I feel your pain on this one too...I was miserable while laying in this weird position and my back hurt for a good week after as result. --- Wild Child wrote: > I feel you on that..I have the same problem with my > back..before and after > surgery > > On 8/27/06, Shauna Thalman > wrote: > > > > My hips have always hurt before and after > surgery... Guest guest
In addition to trying different shows, I have a recommendation. For Christmas, my daughter bought me diabetic sox at Target. At first I figured they were just like any other pair of sox, however, I can now buy them at Kaiser too. They are so wonderful! I get blisters on my feet very easily and up until recently they didn't heal for months and months. With my new diabetic sox, my feet are so happy and when I walk, which for a couple miles, my feet feel fabulous!!! They keep your feet cool and wick away moisture. Try them out, I think you will like them!!! Debi --- W wrote: > , > > Just go and try on some new shoes. It's not that > they are or are not > good shoes, it's all in the fit. Guest guest
Mike, I had some pain above my hip before surgery, now I have pain in both hips when I stand to long. Right in the joint. the only thing that I can think of is that I am loosing weight faster than I am building muscle and the hip is just sloshing around in there. Guest guest
Kim, This is so true. I had the worst most wicked brusies, the Doctor told me it was as a result of the Heparin they shoot you with every couple of hours to fight blood clots. My arms were so nasty, black as midnight from the blood pressure cuff they used to try and pump up my veins when they collasped to set up new lines. My veins in my arms and hands blew out because I was dehydrated from the cleanse. It was funny because people who saw my arms when in public would whisper...I think she's been beaten...bahahahahaaaaa! I teased my husband and said you better be nice or I'll turn you in. Ha! I agree the back pain was worse than anything. The belly really didn't hurt...but with the lap, you don't have all the muscles cut so you avoid a lot of pain. Oh and for the record, today is yippeeee skippeeee day, first day (in a week) with no grouchy pouchy!!! Wahooooo! I had yogurt and bean with bacon soup for breakfast and I feel really good! Oh happy day! = : ) Debi --- wrote: > My back was actually the worst pain I had from > surgery.I was out > before I went to the OR,but when I came to,I had a > HUGE bruise on my > lower left side of my back. That was worse than my > tummy ever hurt.It > was VERY hard to get comfortable at all with that. > > Kim F > RNY 6/23/06 > 298/240/135 > > > > > > > > > >> > > > > >> I woke up at 6:15am and walked with my > daughter > > > to the Farmer's > > > > >> Market and a coffee shop (about 1.5 miles > one > > > way).
