Guest guest
Let's start with the blueberry pie. Actually this was supposedly a fresh bakery pie but I was just quoting the label. I do know that frozen blueberries can be tough but I use them without that toughness to make sauce for pancakes etc. Melita, I'm delighted for you that you are improved so much. But just being able to raise your head and do some resistance with your biceps doesn't really mean that you're ready for work--or at least it doesn't seem so to me--course maybe it depends on what your job is. Let me tell you this--I am 5 years down the road from my diagnosis, currently at 7 mg of pred and my morning of volunteering in the office of our church's clothing bank where we regularly see 17-20 groups in 2 hours time just really takes a toll on me!!! Course I love to talk but it's the activity of getting the files out etc etc and constant " brainwork " I think that takes its toll. We have no machines---meaning no computer--but I can't imagine putting 4 drawers full of client intake sheets onto a computer either. Biggest machines are the scissors and stapler and maybe date stamp. Anyway I have to still recuperate Wed p.m. and Thursdays from this. Really think about this okay. You're still decreasing on the pred and there will be days you'll feel rotten from just that. Exercise still isn't recommended until your CPK's are normal and stay normal for a while. On the privacy issue medical info should not be given to non-medical receivers without express consent of the patient---not just a notification given. I'll tell you this, listen up dears, lawmakers will say whatever they think a particular group they are addressing wants to hear. We heard that directly with one of our state lawmakers regarding royalties on oil/gas payments. Oil companies are trying to make the royalty interest (not the owners' royalty but the surface owners royalty) pay for processing their product. That is not what the contracts say and it was oil people who tried to push such a bill through our state legislature and then....when royalty owners (the dragons, so to speak) got wind of this oh how the lawmaker's tune did change!! And one senator had the stupidity to say he voted for the bill even though he had no information about it. Okay, down girl. Lelia
Guest guest
Lelia.... I agree with what you said about the lawmakers... First, I think a lot of them have been in there way to long, know all the nooks and crannies, know who to call and who not to call when a favor is needed, and it's only when push comes to shove that they stand up and do the right thing.... if no one sounds off... they do what's right for them! I think we all would die if we really knew what went on. I say get rid of them all and put Yail tribe in there... Just my little ole opinion....
