Guest guest
I have to say that that I find it more that a touch upsetting and bewildering that there are people in this group who find it necessary to use such terms as " have no patience " or show such amazing lack of compassion and understanding as to be critical of other peoples struggles. This is a support group; we are all not at the same health level, emotional level, or diabetic control level. It is insulting to assume that people who express their concerns and fears about gaining control over their diabetes and food are somehow deficient. They aren't. There are hundreds of reasons for excessive hunger and carbo cravings that have nothing to do with " will power " : hormonal imbalances, adrenal problems, even diabetes itself can cause these symptoms. For me, it is an allergy to soy and fermented yeast problems. For those of you who feel you are doing so well that you feel you have a handle on all things diabetic, keep it to yourself. Advice, support, compassion, and respect for each one of us is the goal; Not has " no self control " or is stupid for not " reading labels " . They are at a different place on their healing journey and should be accepted as that. In other words, KEEP YOUR JUDGEMENTS TO YOURSELF. They are not welcome or useful. Wondering about the meaning of support, maggie
