Guest guest
Hi Greg, I would highly suggest that you go to the website for the Association of Medical Professionals with Hearing Loss (www.amphl.org) This is a great place to meet other deaf/hoh who are doctors, vets, nurses, audiologists <wink>, etc. They have an AWESOME section on stethoscopes complete with pictures, ordering information and information on how to order patch cords. They have examples of coupling stethoscopes to hearing aids as well as cochlear implants. Also, if you subscribe to the list-serve, you can always post questions to some of the other EMTs that are involved in this group. On September 10, 2005, we just had a conference at Gallaudet University in Washington D.C. This was my first chance to go...it was great meeting others who go through the same challenges. They also had great workshops as well as an exhibit area where you actually try different devices. The next conference will hopefully happen in 2007 or 2008. Anyone on this forum is welcome to contact me if they have any questions. I was just elected to the Board of AMPHL and I just joined the Outreach Committee. ~ Tina ~ Tina Childress, M.A., CCC-A Consumer Services Specialist Bionic Ear Association Advanced Bionics CI user since August 2000 Tina.Childress@...
