Hi Theresa,

I get this too and it is horrible. It doesn't happen to me very often

but when it does I can't get out of bed for a couple of days and I don't eat

very much. When I have to go to the bathroom during one of these episodes I

wait as long as humanly possible just so I don't have to move because my

joints hurt so bad. I usually get some red splotches on my skin a couple of

days before it happens.

Hi Theresa,

Is there anyone who can take you to the doctor or hospital? Can anyone go to

the store and get you some medicine? Sounds like you might be dehydrated...get

pedialite or gatoraide. Also Emitrol is the best over the counter nasea

medicine.

We aren't doctors (well I'm certainly not anyway :-).

This sounds serious enough to discuss thoroughly with a doctor who knows his/her

stuff. It could be a nasty migraine or it could be God knows what. Either way

it sounds like something that requires professional intervention.

That's my two bits worth.

I don't feel car sick first, but the nasty IBS flare, feeling like I've

gotten the flu, and am really sick happens every so often. You may be

right on the not taking care of yourself angle because I had been

pushing myself for the last several weeks, and not doing what I should.

I had a brief bit of energy and tried to squeeze as much out of it as I

could. I had one of these " attacks " on Sunday night. I kept calling

dh to pile on yet another blanket, I just couldn't get warm, and then

I'd have to run to the bathroom.
