You know, I think I'll just officially name my Alter Ego " Goober. " My

goodness! I am so not with it sometimes ...

So, I tested FOs this weekend - no surprise there - and made Lemons, Musks

and Non-Discoloring Vanillas. I finished those up and then made about 8

almond test batches (all only 1 pound). I always insulate in the oven

(easier than dealing with blankets for individual molds) so I just dumpted

all the soap in the oven together and went to bed.

Welllll ... this morning, I ran to the stove to sniff and see what had

survived and what had separated out etc ...and lo and behold, EVERYTHING

smells like Almond! Hello! Anyone for Vanilla/Almond soap?! How about

Lemon/Almond? Duh ...

So, I think I'll have to re-do all of those tests ... I think the soaping

gods are determined not to let me have a Musk or ND Vanilla ... I can't

believe I didn't think of that! I'm so hoping that now that the scents are

separated that they un-contaminate .... =)

And LAURA (not yelling, just getting your attention, just in case you're not

reading every word of my oh-so-exciting post .... LOL!), did the mix thicken

up on you after 24 hours? I made mine last night (I like it for shaving -

it's not a huge lathering recipe that's for sure!) and it takes about 12 -

24 hours to set up ....

Adios my buds - off to a Sub lunch! Woo hoo! =)
