Hi Lorri,

I had the same concern once I found out my son had plagio/brachy. He's not big enough to sit on his own, so options are limited when I needed to put him down.

Through this support group, I found the coolest thing ever. It's called a BUMBO seat and was created to assist babies who can hold their heads up until around 12 months to sit on their own safely. My son LOVES it! (He's five months old.) You can find the seat on the BUMBO website or on ebay for cheaper!

In case you're interested in seeing it, I'm attaching a couple of pics of my son sitting in his...it's such a terrific option aside from the standing activity bouncer!

Let me know if you have questions - hope this helps!

Ah, I see...then it sounds like perhaps the Boppy suggestions might be your best option. Sorry I don't have any further ideas! My son does not have tort so we keep him upright as much as possible to keep him off of his head.

Sorry, I couldn't help you more!

Lorri, sorry the tort is throwing a monkey in the works. :) Try

propping her up on the flat side so she rolls towards the rounded

side and see if that helps.

I repositioned my dd to get her head round. She is 2 1/2 and you

can't even tell she was ever flat. You can see her progress pics in

the Before and After/Repositioned folder under S. Please feel

free to email me if you need any help.

Thanks Becky. We're going for an assessment for a band on Tuesday.

Thankfully I have a clinic one hour from our house. How bad was your

daughter's plagio and how long were you repositioning before you noticed a

difference?
