It's possible he's allergic to the helmet. It's very rare but it can happen. Does he have bumps on his skin or is it only red? Does it fit properly or does it shift a quite a bit? Sorry to hear you having issues with it. Hopefully things will get better soon. Hang in there. He has a hanger helmet. I dont think he is allergic because he has had it for a month and a half and no problems but I will ask about it. It doesn't shift at all it is stuck there lol. They don't have to be soaking in sweat to get it either. Especially when you say it is dry looking now. That is good, it means it's healing up. You can put a small amount of cortisone on it twice a day, be sure to let it absorb good before putting the band back on. Once it is all dry, you can start putting the band back on. Just watch for any open areas or oozing, that means helmet off. Thanks. I am going to go put some on now! I just got back from the plastic surgeon and he said he was very happy with the helmet and the red might be just rubbing but I dont think so.
