Wesli,

I would contact your doctor ASAP! It sounds like you are having a cholangitis attack and that can be very serious. If not treated with antibiotics right away the infection can get into your bloodstream. Trust me, this is not something you want to happen! I used to get Cirpo for cholangitis, but the infection became immune to the drug. Now I take Augmentin or Levaquin, and they usually do the trick. If they don't work by mouth I am given Levaquin in IV form.

Please go call someone now. Pain, nausea, fever all point to cholangitis. If it turns out that it's not, it's always far better to be safe than sorry!!!

Keep us posted.

Hi Wesli

It sounds like you are having a classic colengitice attack. If you still have the fever you need to contact a physician right away. The pain you describe sounds like the attacks that I have had for years and when accompanied by fever usually means you are in trouble. Sometimes they will pass on their own, but you need to see your family doc to make sure there is not an infection in your bile duct. Good luck

Wesli,

If you live with your parents, friends or a significant other, are they

aware of your situation? If not, tell them!

Seek medical attention ASAP. You should not have to endure such pain,

fever, crying and fear! This sounds serious. Help is out there!

Wesli,

I would view your recent relocation as an opportunity to establish a

new relationship with your pcp, one in which your pcp coordinates the

care you receive from the specialists and is available to provide care

for acute symptoms, whether they be liver related or due to the

viruses and bacteria that afflict everyone. So yes, I would contact

your pcp and explain what has been going on and that you want a plan

to deal with the fever and pain if they recur. The plan might be to go

to the ER, have a prescription for antibiotics & pain meds, lab tests

to be run, or some combination of those or something else. But in any

case you will either establish a working relationship with your pcp or

find that you need to search for someone else to fill that role.

Good luck.
