Hi my twins are beign banded at one year due to insurance and getting

denied by everyone for assistance. The neurosurgen and speacialist we

have seen told me to they needed to be banded between 12 and 15 months

at the latest. My sons also were born a month and half early so they

have been correcting their age. I know how you feel with the shaved

head thing. Every day before we go out grant I thought the same thing.

Aspecially since my husband has a shaved head and if he continues to

shave after he gets out of the military then I know my boys will want

to too. Not sure were you are located. Please post another message with

you location so then members can give you names of doctors that will

help. Good luck.

If you haven't gone to Cranial Tech yet you can get a free

consultation. They band up to 24 months.

The doctor you spoke with must use a passive band. 11 mo isn't old at

all. DD was in a band at that time.

Guilt is something we all feel. I think it's part of parenthood!

Hi,

Welcome to the group! Like has already told you Cranial Tech

will band a baby your son's age. Check out the photos section, in the

DOCband before and after pictures. There are pics of a 19.5 month old

that received amazing correction. If you're near a CT office I'd call

and make a casting appointment, not a consult appointment you don't

have any time to waste.

You will need a prescription from a doctor in order to get your son

banded. Do you think your pediatrician will give you one? There is no

reason why he/she shouldn't as it's 100% your decision to make whether

or not you band YOUR son. Good luck and keep us posted.

Hi! My daughter will be 17 months on the 1st and is getting her

DOCBand on Wednesday. Her fontanelle is still open in the front, and

I'm sure that helps. Insurance will only pay for a band up to 18

months, so work fast if you are interested. Cranial Tech will band up

to 24 months. Good luck!
