,I'm glad to hear doesn't have craniosynostosis. Phew!Check out CT. They offer free consultations. Hey, free is good You can expect an honest opinion from them. I do see the bossing on 's forehead and the flatness in the back. The really good news is that she is at a phenomenal age for correction! DS was severe. He got his band at 5 months and he corrected beautifully! Four girls! Goodness. That's a lot of estrogen Mom to Dane (4 yo ) and Cece (12 mo) DOC Grads

this shape could be from how she was positioned inutero if you don't

feel it is from positioning after birth. Others have experience with

this and I'm sure they will reply to you.

> Hi. My name is and I have 4 daughters. My youngest is

only 12 weeks old. Her head has been misshapen since birth. When

she was born I assumed it was just molding from birth and that it

would fix itself. Needless to say, it didn't. At her 2 month check-

up I brought it up to her ped. She sent us for a skull x-ray to rule

out craniiosynostosis. The x-ray came back normal but said her head

was elongated from back to front. I hadn't even noticed that, to

tell you the truth. From the back, the right side of her head is

considerably higher than the left. There is a slight flattening

there, but it's more to the top of her head, so I don't see how that

can be positional. Now there is bossing of her forehead and I see a

ridge at the top of her head above her ear. I took my daughter to a

different ped and she has ordered a CT scan for Tuesday. I was

wondering if some of you lovely experienced parents could look at her

pics and tell me what you think. If it's craniosynostosis then I

guess we have to do the surgery. Can this be positional plagio with

the flat spot being at the top of her head? And if so, how do I repo

for that when I can't see how her position is making that spot flat?

I added her photos but forgot to add the right names to them and now

I can't edit them. She's here

Hi ,

Can you post pictures from the front - looking straight at her and

from the top, looking down on her head trying to capture the

position of both ears. It could be positional. It's interesting

what inuterine constraint can do to an infants head. You're right

repo with her headshape would be difficult. If the right ear is

pushed forward that would be a traditional sign of positional

plagio. It would correspond to the right bulging forehead. It

doesn't explain the ridge.

Here are some pics of my daugher's inuterine constraint positional

plagio. http://www.thefilyaws.com/plagioprogress_files/frame.htm

na had a somewhat short head but looking back some of her

angles look very similar to 's.

It is tough to say what is going on without the CT scan, but she can

have a combination of plagio shapes. Take a look in the photos

section for some of the photo study pics and see if you can copy the

way they are taken, it will help give us a better view. Please let us

know how the scan goes.
