Guest guest
So my daughter has been in the band for almost a month and every little weird change makes me go nuts. For example, one eye looks smaller than the other eye, her face has become more square than round (I love her round face), last night she woke up screaming in the middle of the night (which she never does), etc. So all I do is blame the band and in the back of my head am so concerned that it might do some harm. It's difficult because she's only 6 months old so a lot is changing period but the band has become a scapegoat. Sigh. Just needed to air my thoughts - does anyone else feel the same? Guest guest
I'm anticipating all of this. My son is 6 months too and he's getting his DOCband on 2/17. He has skin issues already and teething and as you said lots happening. Everyone keeps telling me the 3 months will go fast. So I'm hoping for that. Just think you're 1/3 of the way! Guest guest
Sandy, A lot of parents here have gone through what you're going through. As long as your orthotist has experience treating plagio babies you really don't have anything to worry about. No experienced ortho has ever harmed or made a baby's head worse. At least not in the almost 4 years I've been here. At 6 mos old waking up screaming could have been gas, teething, wanting Mommy. It could have been a number of things. Try to relax, this is a good thing you're doing for your daughter. When all is said and done you'll be glad you banded her. Keep us posted on her progress. > > So my daughter has been in the band for almost a month and every > little weird change makes me go nuts. Guest guest
One month did fly by pretty quickly though the thought of 2 more seems like a long time. My daughter gets measured in 4 weeks for the first time after the band so I'm anxious to see how much she has progressed. Good luck to Chase. I was concerned about skin issues too but so far so good. Guest guest
Thanks . It's good to have this group - the collective experience here is great and helps soothe anxiety-ridden parents like me Sandy > > > > So my daughter has been in the band for almost a month and every > > little weird change makes me go nuts.
