Reason being, my inbox would soon overflow. I hate reading digests and it's easier with most of them to read from the site. Other than that, I agree completely. The discussion about signature lines has come up more than once on a lot of different groups and most have agreed that it's not spam. If someone doesn't want to read past your name, then it's pretty simple to ignore the signature line. I have a signature line for my writing groups but I don't use it here because it's not autism related in the slightest. > Why in the world do people have to be so stupid and juvinile?? > GRRRR! When you figure it out, let me know will you? I've been offline today because I needed a mental break from a very ugly situation on a writers' group involving unfounded and unsubstantiated plagiarism accusations. It's ugly, it's sordid, and I'm sick of all the back stabbing. I wish there was a magic wand I could wave to make people grow up and act like decent human beings. Luckily we've got about 8 moderators, so one of us gets to it, and deltes their spam and leaves OUR OWN message in it's place They don't come back either. They've all gone to moderated status for new members and until the new member sends a few legitimate emails through, they're not taken off moderation. One man I WISH they would moderate insists on sending pornographic poems through. Argh! Really, really bad pornographic poems. Someone needs to take his keyboard away. I don't know what's more shocking, the lousy writing or the subject matter! Tina *still WAY behind on email.*
