Hi All-

First off- it sounds like a lot of you go to Paramus, NJ-Cranial

Tech.- I hope I get to meet some of you!

Luke's band is beginning to smell- just to recap- he got the DOC

band on Jan.18 and then had to go out of it for a week due to high

fevers. Anyway- he has had it on for 4 straight days(23 hours/day)

and we have been cleaning with the rubbing alcohol during the hour it

is off at night. Sometimes, I will take it off for about 10 minutes

to clean it in the middle of the day.

Does the sweating on the head subside and if so when should I expect

this? IS there anything in addition to the alcohol that I can use- I

already put a call in to cranial tech but no one was picking up.

Also, Luke is not a good sleeper and has been sleeping in our bed

since he has been sick(I know everyone says not to sleep them in your

bed, but I was very nervous as a first time mom with him having high

fevers. Anyway- we tried to put him in the crib the past 2 nights

but he wakes up crying so frequently. He never used to wake up

crying before the band, but it is hard to say if it is the band, or

if he is used to our bed(even when he has been in our bed this week

with the band, he wakes up crying when the pacifier falls out.)

I know, a lot is going on here, but will the sleep get better.

Any advice would be helpful and appreciated!

Terry
