Guest guest
, I think at your son's age he'd be much better off in a DOCband. They are proven to work on older babies. They've done clinical studies about it. You have no time to waste, his window of opportunity is closing fast. Hanger only bands up until 18 months, CT will band up until 24 months. Is CT an option for you? At your son's age he will most likely need more than one band. What will you do if that's the case? He'll be older than 18 months old by then. Good luck and keep us posted. -- In Plagiocephaly , " caelbe " <tim_carrie1@m...> wrote: > > I have a question for anyone who is familiar with banding older > babies. Guest guest
Well, he's actually gone through a Docband already. The travel time is 6+ hours, though, and we're not quite sure we want to do that again. This guy in Cincinnati has a lot of experience banding, so I feel pretty good about it. I just don't see what the big difference in bands would be between Hanger and CT as long as the ortho has experience...we went through a bad local helmet first, so I am pretty cautious about making sure what we get is what I want. Anyways. For whatever that is worth! --- In Plagiocephaly , " stripes6060 " <taime@o...> wrote: > > , > I think at your son's age he'd be much better off in a DOCband. Guest guest
Hi - actually, we went to Chicago. I didn't find out about the Columbus satellite office until after we had started with Chicago. I had thought about the Straight Ahead option until I found out that there was a Hanger in Cincinnati - I didn't want to go to the one in Louisville, because I do not trust the orthotist there. Are you going to the Straight Ahead office? > > > > > > > > I have a question for anyone who is familiar with banding > older > > > > babies. Guest guest
, Both my kids are Straight Ahead Grads. and are absolutely fabulous. If your child has torticollis they are THE people to see! Seriously they wrote the book that all the PTs use. Check Amazon! You can see my kids' before and afters in the B & A DOCBand section of the photo section here.
