Guest guest
That's terrible and really not necessary if you didn't want to be in the competition, why didn't you just say so?LOL I hope you're better soon Jinx no exercise challenge for me you guys won't believe what my klutsy self did last night. sorry about all lower case my other arm is holding me up. i was hurrying trying to get the laundry away and get the kids baths before bed and guess i was going to quick. i lost my footing on the steps, second one from the top, and bumped all the way down, hitting every step, all the way to the ceramic tile floor at the base. talk about pain, it was awful. i managed to get myself to the couch and lay over the arm rest on the couch table but then i couldn't do anything. i couldn't stop crying, my poor kids were so scared. hubby left work and my girlfriend came to watch the kids but he wouldn't drive me to the er. by this time, i was in so much pain, that my body wouldn't stop shaking and my teeth wouldn't stop shattering. he was so scared he called an ambulance. i was sooooooooooo embarrassed. they kept saying does this or this hurt and i had to keep saying no only my butt. so ofcourse they make you lie flat on this hard hard board and strap you down. i'm so claustrophobic so my blood pressure, normaaly 90/60 jumped to 150/80. come to find, he could of driven me, nothing is broke just seriously bruised and inflammed. it looks like i have a baseball under my skin right at my tailbone. good thing hubby is off for the next three days because i can't bend down at all, or sit right, or lay....this sucks. needless to say i'm out of commission is the exercise realm this week. the doctor said it would hurt this bad for three weeks, but he doesn't know me....i hope to jump in on week 2. i can't just let everything go to waste....swimsuit season is breathing down my back. just thought i'd let you know. meaghan

Meaghan, OW OW OW OW OW! This comes from someone that did the same thing late last year. I didn't break anything, although we seriously thought my little toe was broken, but by the time I was all healed up, I almost wished something would have broken because it all hurt so bad, I felt like the bones would have healed faster than all the soft tissue! Thankfully it was only REALLY bad for 5-6 days, and then I could move again. I did a number on myself last night, too, I turned around to talk to hubby as I was headed for the bathroom, and stepped full on into the wall with my pinky toe, lost my balace, and almost fell into the shower. It was not pleasant, and my toe hurts like hell, but by goodness I sure got that exercise in anyway, to hell with the pain, LOL! Take comfort in the fact you are not the only klutz round here, dear! Guest guest
-thaks dee, yes it is painful, but not as bad as laying on that backboard was. i'll be back real soon, so long as joshua doesn't kick me in the middle of the night again-lol. poor hubby woke up to me screaming, literally screaming. i was in the middle of a nightmare, thanks to them strapping my head down the other night when he kicked me. i had taken this horrible pill the doctor gave me because i couldn't sleep due to the pain. it really screwed with me, hubby actually had to carry me upstairs, so i guess my head wasn't all there. he kicked me, i felt pain and thought i'd been shot. i just screamed and screamed, he said he couldn't even wake me up, then i just went back to sleep and he was lift wide awake and shaking. awful wife eh, meaghan -- In weightlossbuddies2 , " the Freeman's " <freebirds4elvis@t...> wrote: > Meaghan, Meaghan, Meaghan!
This is awful! I sure feel for you. I have always heard that a tailbone injury is very painful and that there is nothing they can do for you, but just tell you to rest. My toe is not too bad, but the bruise on my butt that we did not know about right away hurts a bit if I overdo. I'm going to the gym tomorrow either way! I figured if I let this stop me just as I get started, I will slide back past square one, and it will be even harder to do it.
