12 lead ECG Telemetry help.

OK everyone, I need professional help! (pun intended)

We are trying to find a way to get our Zoll M Series Bluetooth monitors to

fax 12 lead ECG’s over a cell phone. (Nextel)

Anyone able to do this over a DIGITAL cell phone? I know MCHD has been doing

it analog, but analog cell service is going away.

Below are my conversations (summarized) with both Zoll and Nextel for

reference or laughs, either way:

Zoll Tech Support:

Curtis: I want to fax 12 leads from my M series through a Nextel digital

phone over Bluetooth.

Zoll Tech Support: OK.. We can do that.

Curtis: Great, how?

Zoll: Uhh…. Please hold.

Zoll: Uhh, well sir you can have the zoll uplink to your toughbook and then

have your toughbook fax the ekg through your phone.

Curtis: So I can’t do It real time, or without using the toughbook?

Zoll: Uhh… I’m sure you can…

Curtis: How?

Zoll: Uhh I don’t know. But you can plug the fax modem into the wall and fax

it that way.

Curtis: Ummm.. OK Thanks.. Have a nice day.

Nextel:

Curtis: I want to plug a analog fax card into my digital Nextel phone.

Nextel: Oh so you need a digital to analog converter.

Curtis: Yes that sounds great.

Nextel: Please hold.

Nextel: Let me transfer you to sales.

Curtis: OK

Nextel: Sales

Curtis: I need and analog to digital converter.

Nextel: A what?

Curtis: I need to plug an analog fax modem into a digital Nextel phone.

Nextel: Does your Nextel phone have a phone jack on the bottom of it?

Curtis: Ummm.. NO. I don’t think you make those.

Nextel: OH… please hold, I’ll transfer you to accessories.

Curtis: Uhh OK.

Nextel: Accessories.

Curtis: I need an analog to digital converter.

Nextel: A what?

Curtis; Never mind.
