Hi ,

I got today a product called " Caproil " from Inno-Vite (caprylic

acid).. they say to take between one teaspoon and one tablespoon a

day.. but they add that this product is most effective if taken with

their 'kit' of candida buster, which includes psyllim and bentonite...

Do I have to use these other things with it, or I can just take the

caproil by itself? I am asking because I don't do well with

psyllium.. it had constipated me in the past..!!

Also at the health food store one lady advised me about another

product that works better for candida she says.. it is a mixture of 6

essential oils.. (so I got it also !)

I just want to mention that I haven't taken any more GSE for the last

two days.. I am almost back to normal.. no more digestive disturbance

at all.. the only thing left is the pulling on my right side (in my

abdomen) but this symptom I have from time to time (even without

taking DMSA)... so I am thinking of starting another round soon..

Take care,

Michel

No, it's not absolutely necessary to use the psyllium and bentonite.

However, if you have unpleasant symptoms (die-off) from taking the

caproil then some type of fiber or activated charcoal taken an hour

or so after the caproil may help to minimize them. We're not sure

how much of a candida problem you have, but you do need to be

prepared for potential die-off symptoms. I suggest starting with

a small amount to begin with (maybe a teaspoon a day) and work up to

a teaspoon twice a day, etc.

I have not had really severe die-off symptoms for a long time

because I have followed the diet and taken antifungals for

maintenance, but believe me, you do not want to start with a big

dose. Just starting on a yeast control diet (eliminating the sugar,

yeast, etc) can stir up some pretty strange symptoms, so it is

essential to go slow with these changes.

I am not familiar with the Caproil product - you should

familiarize yourself with any other ingredients so you know

what you are taking. Or maybe it's just plain caprylic acid?

> Also at the health food store one lady advised me about another

> product that works better for candida she says.. it is a mixture of 6

Well, I have no idea about that one. You are really gung ho about

this candida thing, aren't you! Please try just one thing at a

time! Die-off symptoms can be very weird, both physical and

emotional - and very stressful to your body. Candida releases

toxins into your body when you kill it and these toxins have to be

processed and removed from the body by the liver.

Glad your digestive problems have settled down. I would advise you

to start the caproil separately from doing another round. You don't

want too much going on at once. In fact, it would be interesting

to see if the next round stirs up similar digestive symptoms first,

before using any caproil.
