Guest guest
Charlene, My period too has changed after my D & C and blood transfusion (although not as many as you, my goodness). Although it could be due to a decrease in my endrometrium, it has come back more and more after two surgeries to remove the scar tissue and my endrometrium is thicker now too. I'm not an expert in this (perhaps others in the group can weigh in on this)but it could be due to scar tissue and once it's removed, you'll see the period resume. Good luck and keep that Dr. appt. with an " A " list doctor. Chris

Guest guest
Hello, I have the smae stringy stuff when my period should be. It startted after my D & C and I ws finally told I had Ashermans in September. (moderate - Severe0 Kristi poppkec wrote: Sorry for the extra email, but again reading through the docs and emails, what I have also with my very light period are "string pieces or bits of blood" never had this before, question is this one of the signs of ashermans in terms of blood flow during a period. Again the type of blood flow never happened before my D & C.If anyone has similar experience or knows about this please let me know. Thanks so much charleneHello,I feel good I have made the step to schedule an appointment with DR. Palter for a consultation next week, but I have so many questions regarding what is a normal period versus abnormal. My periods were always 5 days, but after my d & C to stop me from hermorraging, had to have 3 blood transfusion nearly died, still can not believe that happened. So after my d & c my period is at most 2 days. After reading though alot of the files and data base info. it seems to me that this is a sign that I do not have much endrometrium left. Do we have cases where you are able to conceive with such a period , 2 days?I so nervous about the visit scared to hear bad news that the damage done is irreversible.I am so happy I found this group , I visit every day just to read about everyone experience similar to mine. Thanks charlene--- End forwarded message ---
Guest guest
Charlene / Kristi, The stringy bits that you are having with your period is actually bits of scarring coming out. They would especially come out after a procedure like a hysteroscopy or even after an HSG where some of the scarring will break loose from the force of the dye. Hope this helps.
