That's not appropriate for a child like ours. DO the best you can. What's the worst that can happen? Are they doing to put a mark on his perm. record? Smirk. How are YOU doing??? I'm not thinking about it. Instead I am writing many many posts and considering researching fibro so I can go to my stupid doctor and tell him the things he needs to hear to dx me with it. (If you followed that, congrats, and if not, well, it's a very long story.) What good that would do I am not sure. Thanks for the support. -Sara. Guest guest
Doctors...Oh I have come across some great ones throughout this. I was told I was stressed and that was why I couldn't eat without falling unconsious...and all the other shit that went with it. In fact I was very nearly dead this time last year from mercury poison. Life still sucks but my levels are coming down nicely, life is still very tough but I am a whole lot better. They still didn't have a clue, I discovered it and then I proved it and they still didn't help because they didn't KNOW what to do about it. If I had have been helped I would have a got a lot better a whole lot quicker. Sara keep on shouting until you get some answers. Louisa > Nope. Guest guest
Awwww. I am sure the teacher only expects him and you to do your bests. She has sounded like a great teacher to have. And who knows what Mikey will surprise you with when you try and do this together. I am not saying he will tell you the story but maybe he will say some things and that will be great. I do remember the times that Greggory was at the tale end of his class. It was hard to see him struggle but we had him do all the stuff anyway. Even if he didnt come close to doing it right at least we tried.~Hugs~ Jacquie H Another one of those slaps in the face. 's ST at school does group activities with the kids. Because, you know, I just wasn't in enough pain already today. And I can see that this is a reasonable activity for every other child in his class (which is the higher-functioning special ed class which we fought to get him into because none of the kids in the lower-functioning class talk) and it is great that they're sending stuff like this home because most of those parents don't seem to have a clue what you're supposed to do with a child. Guest guest
I belong to a fibromyalgia online support group. The only problem is there are more posts in that club than there are in here, but posts there just get lost among the crowd. My physical terrorist gave me a good book to read but I forgot the name (damn fibrofog). All I can tell you is this-your doctor needs to rule out other possibilities FIRST before diagnosing you with Fibromyalgia. I recently found out that insurance companies will give you a hard time with the diagnosis as well, putting you into a high risk group. You might want to consider an 'unspoken' diagnosis. I know doctors use tender points as a reference of diagnosis after they rule out things like lupus, lyme disease, sleep apnea and ms. I believe her name is Devin Starlyn who is a big advocate for Fibromyalgia and is the one who wrote the book I was referring to earlier. I always describe my pain as 'like I worked out for the first time, but everyday " I also describe my pain as being more profound in the joints, but yet all over. Fatigue that is crippling. I heard about this stupid fibrofog later on, and I didn't want to admit I had it...just sounded so...silly. Of course I'd forget appointments I made earlier in the day, noticing that I had to write notes to myself more and more, and the kicker...staring at a dollar bill, waiting for my brain to engage on how to make change for it. I really wish I had a cure for this. I get sick of whining about it. Good luck to you. > > If that had been assigned to me and when he was three, I'd have spent > > the day curled up under the table crying. And now that I am pregnant I'm sure he'll be just that much more willing to prescribe wonderful drugs to me. Can I call LLL and say, " I need a dr who knows about fibro & breastfeeding and takes my insurance? " Thanks Salli. -Sara.
