Guest guest
>>>That's why for years I flat out refused to exersice. I know I don't like it, I know I won't keep doing it, and I know that if my body get use to it and I stop - weight gain WILL occur. I agree that starting an exercise routine is a tough row to hoe, so to speak, hee hee. I believe, and I'm not the knowledge center of the universe by any means, that the reason a person would regain weight after exercising then quitting, is because they haven't significantly changed their eating habits. Really, the two go hand in hand, and also metabolism changes with age, so exercise and eating habits have to change as you age to keep the same body size. Exercise has lots of benefits besides weight loss. It reduces stress, builds muscle tone (which can help the joints and skeleton), helps with circulation and digestion, just to name a quick few. It increases stamina, helps the organs and lungs, can help stabilize blood sugars. It increases agility. Exercise, on a routine basis, can help decrease depression and anxiety. I believe a person's fitness level is not directly linked to the amount of body fat they may or may not have. A thin person can be totally out of shape without muscle or stamina, a heavy person could be just the opposite. That noise you heard was Marge stepping off her soap box. >>>Now I did however always try to 'move more'. Now - my 'moving more' has escalated to walking. Almost into the exersice catigory - almost! Ang LOL. Good for you. ;-) XXXMarge
