Hoping that is a typo with -2.8 for free 3..JMO but the question of adding T3 really comes with conversion.. At the momment it is really hard to tell what your conversion is with out any ranges for your T4 and T3..I know it is long and a drag when everyone wants a quick fix but for now you need to stay on the new dose for 6 weeks and repeat testing. You want to repeat this cycle until you are either symptom free or your T4 is at the higher end of the range.Once your T4 is at the higher end of the range then you need to look at a combination of things, one is symptoms and the other is your Free T3 and how it sits in range with regards to T4..then you can decide if it is needed or not?

Thanks for your wisdom! I will wait another 6 weeks and see where my TSH is at. Nope...that wasn't a typo. The Free T3 was -2.8. The doctor said it was really off but didn't explain what this means. I'm dumping her ASAP! I've searching for another one first.

The 6 weeks intervals are VERY important...and your doc is heading you in the proper direction. When you see how WELL you convert..you'll know whether adding t3 makes sense. I know its a pain to wait....but its really going to help. I promise:) When you get your next

results...we'd love to see them along with the ranges. You'll get some good input! Good luck! ~E:)

Holy cow! If that Free T3 really IS correct, then you WOULD need some T3 added to the mix. Never have seen that one. I mean, yes, almost a "0", but how could it be minus? Reverse T3 would be called just that, Reverse T3, which also means that the T3 isn't being used properly, but a -Free T3 I've never heard of.
