Guest guest
Holly- Congrats! My son is only 10 months and in the DBB for 12 hours a day, so 2 more years seems like a lifetime before we will be done with it. Right now it is part of bedtime routine and he is young so it isn't an issue. Guest guest
Congratulations to and you too, Holly! I can't wait for our day to announce on here that we're done with the DBB. If Cole is as lucky as , we only have a year and a half. Not that long considering the rest of his life without it. Much luck to you all.... Guest guest
Thanks Joy! We're having a great birthday today and was so happy when I told her she does'nt have to wear her night-night shoes tonight or anymore. Also, thank you again for putting Rose's story on Dr. Ponseti's website, she was the only " older " baby story that I ever read and if it were'nt for you sharing with complete strangers, I would have thought for sure that we had missed the Ponseti boat and continued down the surgery route. I know I've told you a million times...............but I just had to say it once more! Holly and Re: is brace free! >Holly, >How exciting for you and !! What a birthday present! Happy >Birthday to ! Guest guest
, Thank you! I remember feeling the same way, that the brace time was going to be such a long stage. But, here we are and amazingly enough, time has flown! The funny things is........this morning I took off 's brace and told her it was the last time she had to wear it. She got a huge smile on her face and clapped her hands but then looked over at the brace and asked if we could keep it anyway. I realized how much a part of her it has become, in some ways like one of her loved stuffed animals. It was never an issue for her to wear it, she has never known any different and I guess you just don't miss what you never had. I'm sure though after a night or two of free piggies her night night shoes will already be a distant memory in her mind! Guest guest
Holly- Thanks for sharing. I'm glad it hasn't been an issue for her to wear the DBB even as she has gotten older. I guess that is the part I've always been a little afraid of. Like I said my son is young now and it isn't an issue at all, so I hope it remains that way for another 2 years:) That is sweet that she wanted to keep the DBB around. Enjoy those brace free nights and not having to WATCH the clock anymore to make sure the DBB is on for the prescribed hours:) > >Reply-To: nosurgery4clubfoot >To: <nosurgery4clubfoot > >Subject: Re: is brace free! >Date: Tue, 11 Feb 2003 11:14:50 -0500 > >, >Thank you!
