Hi There, my Mother sufferes from the above condition

called Polymyositis and this was just discovered in

India last year when she and my dad went to do tests

and check out why she couldn't walk and was in so much

pain. She has been on various diffrent drugs to

suppress this condition, but none show any signs of

recovering. She is also on Steriods called

Predinisone (Predinisolone). I then went into this

website and found an alternative medicine which can

help in curing this condition to up to 95% in the

cases shown in this website.

http://www.rheumatic.org/medhist.htm

At the moment, she is taking these medicines :

Azoran - 1 tablet 50mg, morning and night

Rantac - 1 tablet 150mg, morning and night

Tenormine - 2 tablets 50mg, morning only

Norvasc - 1 tablet 5mg, morning only

Osteocare - 1 tablet once a day

Predinisolone - 1 Tablet 10mg, Morning and night.

Sanatogen - 1 Tablet in the afternoon

Fyfol - 1 capsule in the afternoon.

We went to a good physician who prescribed Zithromax

anitibiotics after reading the letters and information

from the above website. He recomended my mum to take

a very high dose of Zithromax to start off with, which

I felt was too hight a dose, he advised my mum to

start with 500Mg on the first day and 250mg every day

thereafter for the first month, but as I felt it was

too high a dose, the doctor also said that the

predinisolone was to be reduced steadily every 2 weeks

ie 1mg. I advised mum to start with 125mg per day,

which was still very high overall dose for a week, ie

875mg per week. We just started it today afternoon and

she already has lots of side effects from it. Could

you please advise what would be the correct dosage to

give to her.

She had been given an antibiotic 2 weeks before today

for her tooth problem, the medicine was called

Erithromycine 250mg 3 times a day, for 6 days, this

brought about a lot of side effects like burning

sensation on her feet and hands, and around the lips.

Please advise on what and how to take Zithromax.

Thankyou,

With regards

Rupal.

You are correct and the doses of antibiotics are very high, which is

probably why your mum is experiencing side-effects - it's called the

Jarish-Herxheimer reaction.

This antibiotic protocol for polymyositis calls for lower doses given

intermittently. I'm assuming that your mum has finished the erythromycin

for her tooth problem?

Dr. Franco in California, one of the most experienced

rheumatologists in the world with antibiotic therapy, introduces Zithromax

at 250mg on Tues and Thurs only, gradually increasing to 500mg on Tues and

Thurs according to patient tolerance. Zithromax is usually used in

conjunction with very low doses of minocycline or doxycycline, 100-200mg

on Monday Wednesday and Friday.

You might like to read our Frequently Asked Questions at

rheumatic.org/faq.htm for the protocols used for this therapy. Let me know

if I can help you with more detail.

Ethel Snooks, the founder of this organisation, had severe rheumatoid

arthritis and polymyositis for 17 years before recovering on antibiotic

therapy. This antibiotic protocol holds real hope for your mum and you are

correct in realising that the antibiotics must be introduced gradually and

at much lower doses.

I apologise for the delay in replying to your message. In the busy time

before Christmas, I missed your message in my inbox. Please let me know

how I can help.

Chris.
