Guest guest
My son's doctor has put him on tequin which is a new drug similar to cipro. A doctor friend of mine called tequin the "new bad boy." It's only been out a year. Austin has been on mino for 9 months with absolutely no results (yes, he's been on the correct brand). We're seeing results now, in part I believe because of the IV hydrogen peroxide treatment he got a couple of weeks ago. We'll repeat that next week when we return to the doctor's office. He's on the tequin 1 month 1Xday then 1 month 1 every other day, and then 1 every third day for 15 more doses. The doctor wanted him on it because it's very broad spectrum. He's retested Austin for mycoplasma (showed positive in May for m. pneumonia and m. hominus), chlamydia, epstein barr, lime, etc. We'll get those results next week. We've done a number of changes in the last 3 weeks, and something is working, thank God!! This is the first improvement we've seen since he got sick in Oct. 99. He has energy, and as we're dropping the pred. 1 mg a week (something that was impossible to do in the fall), he's not even feeling a difference.
