furry tongue cure, I think so!

this post is for all of you that have the classic RA tongue: warty and bumpy in the back near the throat, deep center crack down the middle, furry white stripe down middle of tongue that progresses almost to the tip. I've tried to clear it with herbs and drugs and have found that cipro can clear the center white furry strip, but I wanted an alternative to cipro because I take doxy and don't want to o.d. on abx if there is an alternative and the minute I stop cipro the white center line races back. I think the furry white center line represents an Heliobacter Pylori (H. Pylori) infection, heres why. H. Pylori gets behind and errodes the mucosal lining of the stomach...if this were infection were chronic perhaps this is another way for toxins and pathogens to enter my blood stream and joints, ie the mucosal barrier is erroded. My chinese herbal doctor says that my tongue reflects that I have "holes" in my stomach! I'm so encourage bacause the white line down the center, ie the "hole" seems to be normalizing for the first time in three years with my new regime. Also ver interesting is that I use a BIOMERIDIAN MACHINE which is a computer that uses frequency signatures to determine pathogens in the body (theory behind this computer is like when you pluck an e string on a harp and the companion e string on a harp nearby will resonate even though not plucked) anyway the computer said that bismuth and doxy are very balancing for my joints. I have been taking large chewable doses of bismuth (pepto bismal) which is fairly benign and also the resin of pistachio tree called Mastic Gum, plus the doxy mwf 200to 400mg. The doxy alone does nothing for my tongue.

The new approach to treating h. pylori is flagyl tetracycline (doxy I think) and bismuth....isn't that interesting since the arthritis trust org's protocal is flagyl, road backs protocal is mino and lyme disease protocal is often doxy and flagyl....hmmm. Now add in the herbal which is Mastic and the element bismuth and perhaps I can heal the stomach lining, absorb my nutients and keep other pathogens more limited so that my immune system can attack them properly. if you tongue drives you mad as mine does, you may want to try this. I take the doxy a few hours separate from the pepto. lastly, my doctor was saying there is a possibility that these pathogens are actually different forms of same organism (its only a theory) for example one persons lyme borrelia may also manifest in a different form i the same person as h. pylori or mycoplasm or other l-form....but that is very speculative). The doctor said the pistachio is very benign and that i could take large doses 6 or 8 capsules a day. It ALLERGY RESEARCH GROUP BRAND "MASTICA". bottle of 120 capsules containing 500mg of mastica costs about $32. But m,y tongue is clearing and I know its "a good thing" as martha would say!!
