Guest guest
Kim The weight gain sounds great. What a bummer w/the shots. We were just talking about that at Belle's appt today. I hope Christian and your dh are feeling better soon. Pam
Guest guest
Hi Kim, On a good note, Christian sounds like he is doing great. I know it's hard to watch them get their shots. Our dr.'s office usually has two nurses do it, 1-2-3 then they both jam! then one nurse has to do two. I usually give her Motrin 1/2 hour before go. So far she hasn't had any reaction to the shots. The fever might be a reaction, or it may be the virus. I hope he feels better soon! & dh...they are BIGGER Babies! Guest guest
Kim, Ok, first of all I can't believe Christian had his 2 month check-up...gosh, how quickly the weeks have went!! I am sorry he isn't feeling well. That is horrible has a little virus and shots at the same time, poor guy. I imagine it would be very hard to watch him get those shots. The nurse could of bee a little more gently, she is dealing with a little baby.....(sad face) I hope your dh feels better too and I hope you aren't next!! Hope all of you get lots of rest this weekend. Take care. 30wks Christians 2 month check-up Hi,Yesterday Christian went for his 2 month check up. He is now 12 lbs, 12 ounces (from 7 lbs 1 ounce) and 23 inches long (from 20 1/4 inches). He is doing well, doctor said to keep doing everything the same. He does have a slight cold this week, he is very congested and his eye is all pink. Doc said it was a virus and gave us drops. He had his first shots. He had three seperate ones. The nurse was so rough, she just jammed them in one after the other. The sad thing is that he was really happy yesterday, smiling and talking, and then she stuck those needles in, he let out a major scream and his eyes got all teary, it was so sad. (I think harder on Mom than him!) He stopped crying about 5 minutes later. All last night he had a fever and was very cranky, you could not put him down. I feel so bad for him, he is so little not to feel good. Especially having a cold and the shots at the same time!Dh woke up this morning not feeling well, and had the same pink eye as the baby, so I guess we know who is next. I am glad it is the weekend so we can just hand out at home and get everyone better.Well that is our update!KimMom to Christian 8 weeks

Guest guest
, My dh is not getting better, poor guy has it in both eyes now. We had to go to eye doctor this morning, get drops and an ointment. They said about a week for it to be better. Of course, Christian is all better, babies get over htings so quickly. My fil is doing a bit better. He has bad emphasema (sp???) and was put in hospital to try and regulate breathing. He has to now go into a rehab to try and get it so he can walk. Right now, he is in the wheel chair to get around. It is a hard situation, he just cant breathe, and the worst part is he is still smoking. The doctor is trying to keep him as long as possible to get him to stop the smoking. He is suffocating himself to death. I hope he can do it. Glad your class went well, the techniques and breathing really did help me with labor. I was doing it, and when I went to hospital, I was already 8 cm dilated. It helped me all the way through until the pushing began. Kim
Guest guest
Kim, I hope your dh gets better soon. That is a shame he isn't getting better yet, hopefully the meds will do the trick. Glad to hear Christian is better though. That must be very hard on your fil and of course with him still smoking it doesn't help things but I guess it is hard to quit after yrs of smoking. I hope the rehab at least helps him walk some again. I will keep him in my prayers. Glad to hear the breathing tech. help.....I sure hope so. I am really trying not to get too nervous but all the "unknowns" seem alittle scary. Take care and enjoy Christian.
