Glutino and Kinnikinnick product questions

Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone here has tried and can comment on Glutino Foods

Chocolate Dreams sandwich cookie? Are these anything like an Oreo? Are they

decent tasting? I can't find these locally, but my co-op carries them. I'd like

a few reviews though before I commit to an expensive case of 12.

Also, I'm getting ready to place my first order with Kinnikinnick. I've tried

several of their products and have been generally pleased so I am willing to

take a chance on some more products. I would appreciate any recommendations on

products that you have found to be especially good. I *am* planning to order the

chocolate sandwich cookies that they sell after hearing such good reviews here.

I thought the Glutino chocolate cookies were not so good, and my

kids weren't crazy about them either. Kind of small, thick and bland.

But I love Kinnikinnick products, esp. donuts (cinnamon and

chocolate covered) and pancake mix. Never heard of the cookies,

though; I 'll have to try them! Thanks!

I prefer the chocolate oreo-like cookies from Glutano. I think they

are called Chocolate O's. I also like their wafers the best,

chocolate & lemon flavors. And fast break bar (like a kit-kat type

thing).

I love the donuts from kinnikinnick. And their Pizza shells aren't

bad.

I believe its the Glutino bagels I like best, especially the

sesame. (Its so hard to remember all the different brands.) But

they are the closest to a real bagel. The chocolate dream cookies

are good too.

I've also tried the Mi-Del oreo-like cookies. I didnt care for

these as much. But they were DELICIOUS crumbled over ice cream. So

if you find you don't like the dream cookies, just find a different

use for them. Crumbled over ice cream, crumbled in pudding, etc.

Its funny how we all have favorite brands for certain foods and not

necessarily just one favorite brand.

I have not had the cookies, but have ordered alot of stuff from

Kinnickinnick. I personally don't care for the plain tapioca bread

or the muffins, but I do love the pizza crust, the raisin bread is

okay, the bagels are okay, and I love the donuts. I have not tried

the K-Toos yet, but I have heard very good things.

We love their English Muffins! We think it's the absolute best

light & airy bread we have found that is GF.

Glutino Zebra Dreams and chocolate wafers with vanilla filling...more like

an Orea, but they aren't quite as sweet. They are good!... but not

necessary an Oreo. You can check out some smaller quantity sizes at

www.thewellnessbroker.com.

Good luck!

The Glutino Chocolate Dreams taste okay, but they do NOT taste like oreos

and are a different texture. The Kinnikinnick K-Toos chocolate sandwich

cookies are so much like real Oreos that I doubt anyone would know the

difference! And they look just like them too. My kids and I love them and

had to buy a lot of them this last order. The Glutino cookies aren't worth

the money in my opinion. Save your money for the K-toos!

I did just try the kinnikinnick cinnamon rolls last night, and don't

think I would get them again. For me, although I loved the size, and

the texture was pretty good, the flavor was a little doughy and bland,

and the sauce was not compelling enough.

I do like the cinnamon sugar donuts, but I found I preferred them to

be at room temperature rather than microwaved- the flavor seemed best

that way.

Thank you all for your input on the Glutino cookies and reviews of Kinnikinnick

products. The info has been most helpful!

I completely agree with you about the donuts. I keep mine in the

fridge, so when I want one I have to leave it out for awhile. I

have not tried their cinnamon rolls, but recently had the EnerG

ones. It sounds like they must be pretty similar, as I felt they

were about the same as you described the Kinnickinnick ones.
