Waaah! That was one of my favorite treats! Just about a year ago I developed an allergy to Hazelnuts...and shellfish....AND was diagnosed gluten intolerant/Celiac all about the same time...

For those of you who can have Nutella...think of me when you eat it

....and realize how lucky you still are!

are there any chocolate/ peanut butter spreads? It might be worth

checking around... I could have sworn that I had seen some non-

hazelnut chocolate spreads somwhere. I personally hate hazelnuts, so I

don't touch nutella anyway. But, a friend of mine in college loved

that stuff! :)

there are two at my kosher grocery store. I will look up their names

next time I am there. One is milchick and the other pareve.

I know pareve. What’s milchick?? I

so love Jewish traditions—if I ever converted to anything… And all

you guys figuring and refiguring Passover food need to post right away your

favorite finds so that we culture-crossing others can rush out and buy before

it’s too late. I see Passover is really late this year, like Easter so

there’s plenty of time, really.

And, another dumb question. What does one

use Nutella for? Is it a spread for….not celery, surely. (Feeling very

silly this morning. Migraine was severe at 5 a.m. Drugs are working right now.

The really strong one.)

My oldest eats Nutella by the serving spoon....smeared

all over bread. He first ate it at a religous camp here

in Texas. I'm not wild about it. Kinda sweet...he makes

sandwiches out of it...like PB & J with out the J.

I’m so sorry ! I grew up on it

too. In an Italian household you get to eat chocolate spread on bread AS

LUNCH! Mmmm……

there is a milky way spread that is gluten free---it's pretty good.

my girls took it and small rice cakes on a school trip and the other

kids were all loving it. it should be by the nutella at the grocery

store.

I found Nutella all over the place at breakfast time in Belgium and

in France. Apparantly it is used a lot on breakfast pastries over

there. I had never really paid attention to it until we were

vacationing in both places... and saw tons of those little portion

pac thingies of them. I think some people eat it on toast too. I

would compare it to a peanut butter spread... but it is chocolate-y.

Peanut Butter & Co. makes Dark Chocolate Dreams (peanut butter blended with rich dark chocolate). They also make Cinnamon Raisin Swirl peanut butter. Both packages say "Gluten Free" right on it. I found it at Giant. (www.ilovepeanutbutter.com)-----
