Hi,

I have my biopsy on Thursday, two sterotactic biopsys.

I don't know what all to expect.

I understand there is some discomfort but what else? When will I feel

comfortable enought to resume my daily activities?

I live on a ranch so there are chores to do and my daughter has a

show on Saturday which I would be driving to and possibly lifting

things up to 35 pounds.

Is it all right to do all of these things? Will I feel like doing

these things or should I line up someone else to help, (I have an

older daughter).

Just trying to know what to expect.

Thanks,

Alyssa

Alyssa,

I didn't have that type of biopsy but I would imagine you would be a little tender for awhile. I would definitely line someone else up to help with chores and the lifting. I will keep you in my prayers.

If it is the same kind of biopsy I had last week it really isn't to bad. I

had 4 biopsies. They told me not to lift anything heavy, no vacuuming, no

laundry, etc. For the first 24-48 hours. I was sore for the first day but keeping

ice

on it and taking tylenol helped a lot. I bruised on the third day. I would

suggest you get some help for at least the first 24 hours. Tara

I assume you are talking about core biopsies. I had one, 2 weeks ago

and it caused me no discomfort. I had a little bruising, but that was

all. I did use ice a lot and think that is one of the reasons I had

so little trouble. Also, it was close to the surface. It would

probably be wise to have your older daughter help out, to be on the

safe side.

im sorry i can't be quiet anymore. i am only going to coment once about this subject. you are rude to say this to christopher! bc effects everyone not just the sole it invades and christopher is just trying to get help for his girlfriend and in return for that help he is offering, to the best of his knowledge some help to those that need it. how dare you belittle him like this! if you do not like what is said from him or from anyone for that matter just delete it. you don't have to do this to another human being. if you have a problem with anyone here , you need to contact the moderator first and let them know, but don't go about it this way. i am sorry if i have stepped on any feet and hurt anyone. i am not here to do that. i am battleing just like you and most everyone here. ok i will not say anymore about this subject, i couldn't read anymore about the men in here. my man is my rock and if it wasn;'t for him, i would have gave up a long time ago!!!

hugs and prayer from carol in michigan

I am praying for you twice Alyssa. As God has said, be sure to pray

for your enemies.

I always pray that God will make my words sweet, because tomorrow I may

have to eat them.

Hope your stinking day gets better.

Carol,

No need to apologize. I totally agree with you.

I applaud , your husband, my husband and all the others that take enough interest in their wives, girlfriends, finaces, sisters, mothers etc. diagnosis to want to find more out in order to support them.

Hugs
