Well, I'm a meal short of my standard 6 BUT, I did have a double serving ofdinner this evening, so that kinda counts. ;)For dinner tonight, I cooked up a box of Hodgson Mills whole grain pasta forthe family. My wife and kids ate canned pasta sauce (Hunts -- gotta getthrough them) while I enjoyed my home made sauce. Several days back, Ipureed around 60-70 tomatoes, added various herbs 'n spices, then bowled meup some of my best ever pasta sauce. :) Tonight, one of those bowls servedme well. The meal was SBD P2 legal and packed with both nutrition and healthyingredients. The sauce was made from home grown tomatoes, fresh basil frommy own garden, and tasted mmmmmmm good.Right now I'm fixing up a final "meal" for the day -- a bowl of umpteen-beansoup. I'll only eat about half of it,

just enough to tie me over throughthe night and let me take my meds/supplements, but again it will be fullySBD compliant and healthy as home made can be.__________________________________________________

-- You can pretty much just get the bags of mixed beans at the grocer

and follow the instructions on the back. If you're not sensitive to sodium,

you should be able to use the flavor packet even. Our own recipe consists

of 2 bags of mixed beans (18 bean), tomato sauce/paste, chicken broth, and

various spices/herbs.

I just made some for lunch...

a bag of 15 bean soup

1 large can of pureed tomato sauce

1/2 onion

2 T minced garlic

1 pound ground turkey

oregano

basil

chili powder

Not bad!
