Oh! That makes a lot of sense, Dianne! With all the trading posts and lack

of soaping posts, you must've been wondering what was going on! *L*

Say, btw, do be sure to check out our homepage

(http://www.angelfire.com/mi/Soapmaking101/index.html). It has a lot of

information on it that many find helpful.

Nope. Let them sit in the molds for 18-24 hours. Then take them out of the

molds and let them sit for 3-4 weeks.

The only time I'd recommend freezing is if you can't get them out of the

molds after the 18-24 hours. Then just freeze them for a little bit and pop

them out.

HTH!

It might just be soap ash, you can leave it on or shave it off. I don't think

it's a big cause for concern....purely cosmetic :o)

Dpratt,

Dr. Bob from the chemistry store covers this " soda ash " as we call it in his

book. It is soap. Just another form. He explains in more detail. It is

harmless, just scrape it off if you don't like it, that is what I used to do

before I went to molding in downspout.

Did Dr. do the lap DS in Mississippi? My doctors concerned because he

hasn't done that many yet. Thanks, Diane

Yes .. Doctor trained under my doctor, Dr Booth. He is one of the original surgeons that worked on this procedure ... and he is quite good at it. I do not know of any patients of Dr here, but you might be able to call Dr Booths office and find out. The number is 228 872-4091 and Glen or usually answers the phone. Good Luck ..

I have been in contact with some of his patients from Mississipi who

had another type wls with him. They were very pleased with him and

didn't report any complications to me. You won't find anyone who had

the fully lap DS with him any earlier than the one you mentioned

because the ones prior to that were either lap assisted or open DS

surgeries.

He did one lap DS in Mississippi...remind your doctor that to get a

long history of many procedures, every surgeon has to start with a

first. He has done many other lap procedures and his lap skills seem

to be excellent.

Sorry to hear that Eilish is still not feeling better, it is such a long road

to get them back to where we want them, I hope this nocardia thing is

nothing, and that the sinister thing you feel may be there is nothing more

than a virus, that can be taken care of. Thoughts to you and your little one.

Dear Miranda --

I hope you tell this resident that until he learns more about CF, that you

can't allow him to examine or treat your child. No matter how many CF clinic

doctors he's worked with, it's obvious he hasn't learned much at all.

You have the right to remain silent or speak up, but if you don't set him

straight -- or tell one of the other doctors what this resident said so that

they can teach him, then who will?

Miranda,

I know Eilish has constipation if she keeps 'pinching food' without enzymes.

She's never been a runny poo child. I to was surprised but have been told

that its half and half.

Did you tell him that he's full of ****?

If this were true, then why is " constant diarhea " a symptom that

warrants a sweat test?

It is sobering how uninformed some physicians are.

I have heard our nutritionist say that constipation can mean that the

child is not getting enough enzymes, but our EXPERIENCE tells us that

this is not the case with our child, and in fact the opposite is

true. When he takes too many enzymes, he gets severely constipated,

and when he takes no enzymes (as in sneaking chocolate without

enzymes) he gets runny stools.

I hope Isabelle is better soon.

You are correct here, constant diarrhea is a symptom of malabsorption, not

enough enzymes.

Lynne,

If you mean that you are not receiving your fibromyalgia messages. I can see

nothing wrong.

If it is an email account with Yahoo, you will have to ask them what is wrong.

If you receive this, then you will know all is all right.

This list get slow at times and other times, it is very busy.

Take care,
