Guest guest
I'm new to this site, not quite sure how this type of thing works. I had a mastectomy on my left side last week, 16 years after I had one on the right. I was pregnant at that time, had the baby, who is now almost 16. I'm divorced from her father for the last two years. I'm home " healing " , getting major cabin fever. I'm (was)a very active person, I work full time, dance two or three times a week, Israeli Folk dancing and take care of my teen. I feel very relieved, my lymph nodes were clean, I will probably be treated hormonally. I just don't know what to do with myself right now. I would like to chat with someone who is or was in a similiar situation as me. Deborah
Guest guest
Sorry to hear about your second operation...hope everything goes well for you...I have operation on left side in 2002 and lost my mom 4 months later suddenly...It has been hard for me also... For at least 11 days we were going to the local hospital and visiting my boyfriends Dad in the ICU part of the hospital...now he has been transferred to another hospital an hour away...We have not been there to see him because I got sick last Thurs. night...I got a fever and up-set stomach...Went to the chemo Dr on Friday and got a shot and medicine...Have to go to Oncologist on Feb 24 and back to the chemo Dr on Feb 28. for regular 3 month check-up. It is hard staying inside in bed...The medicine makes me kind of sleepy...I am retired for my job of 32 yrs in 2004. Maybe when I feel better we can go visit my boyfriends dad in hospital if he is still there...It is an hour drive there on a new highway. I like to make afghans for my hobby and give them to people ...Just made one for a house warming party a few weeks ago... Some people like to read...I have not been much into reading... If you want to talk I am usually have the computer on most of the day... Hope you feel better Betsy (NC) Note: forwarded message attached.
