Poly,

Thank you for your well wishes. I hope that by sharing my story people will see the value in seeing a perinatologist. It has surely been difficult, but I am getting closer.

Hugs to your little girl.....where are the new pics?

No name yet. I am still a little reluctant. Talia is the winner so far.

Hi

I am still getting the Mayan massages. I just saw a new hemotologist

this week for a 2nd opinion. He wanted 30 vials of blood (he is

testing for everthing) my body could only give him 28. I go back in 3

weeks for the results.

I pray that you are doing well.

I'm so happy that your appointment was good and that they think you

will go to term. What is the Procardia for? Take care and I'm so

happy that you are getting close now and are down to the final 4 weeks

of bedrest.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Just to let you know, I'm doing a little happy

dance around my office right now. That is wonderful news! You've

been a real inspiration to me lately (even before this great news)

because of your strength and perseverence. I'm just so happy for

you. I'll be keeping you and your little one in my thoughts.

W,

Hope you had a pleasant short break this weekend. Yes, your bleeding is common amongst ashermans members. It is difficult not to worry though, I know. Have you filled the information on the pregnancy chart and added this to it too?

- congrats on getting to 34 weeks! I always think of 34 weeks as such a safe time, because my best friend went at 34 weeks, and her baby was perfect, breathing, eating, etc. were all able to be done without aid, so you're in the home stretch! Best wishes.

LISA,

THANKS FOR TELLING ME THE GOOD 34 WEEK STORY. I NEED TO HEAR THOSE. I AM IN LOADS OF PAIN BY NOW, AND HOPE SHE CAN HANG ON.

I'm just catching up on the posts and I read your wonderful update.

I also read that you are having an u/s today, is that right? I'll be

thinking of you and hoping for more good news.

I wanted to touch on a couple things you said in your post. First of

all the spotting. Try not to think it's the worst (easy for me to

say). If you have been treated for AS and had estrogen therapy, this

can make the cervix more sensitive and likely to bleed. And

progesterone can make the bleeding worse--I know this firsthand. So

it is certainly possible that your spotting is not coming from the

uterus at all (the fact that the progesterone supplements made it

worse would seem to support this!). Also, don't think twice about

your lack of morning sickness--that is a complete wives tale. I know

plenty of women who had NO m/s at all and went on with a healthy

pregnancy. I also know women who had horrible m/s (myself included)

only to miscarry later. So please, don't take it as a sign of

anything!

About anniversaries and thinking about what should be. I can

completely relate to your feelings. It IS unfair that you must start

at this point. After I miscarried twins, everyone told me I'd feel

better when I was pregnant again. Well, I didn't want another baby I

wanted THOSE babies. Every time the weather is nice, I think that I

should be taking my 3 month-olds for a walk. Instead, I am on pins

and needles waiting to find if I'll ever be able to conceive again.

Nothing about this is fair or makes sense. There are reminders and

important dates all the time--the date we got a +HPT is just around

the corner.

I hear you and I am pulling for you. I'll be praying for you

and your little one today and afterward.

Yeah !!!!! WOW she is getting big already. Just out of

curiosity, why isn't he removing the cerclage? I really just want to

know for my own records in case I am lucky enough to be where you are

now. I have learned so much from you through this pregnancy and have

followed you so close because of my own i/c. BTW, I had very little

swelling with my pregnancy until those final weeks and then I had to

be careful of everything that I ate especially salt. I had what they

called pitting edema at my one appt where the dents in my legs stayed.

It was weird but dissappeared shortly after labor. I will continue

to keep you in my prayers and I am so happy to hear that all is well.

It has been a great day for pregnancy updates and it is very

uplifting.

Saw your update. Congratulations on the great news you are almost

there. Is he leaving the cerclage in because of the breech

position? Just curious since I have had mine out 2 weeks prior to

due date.

Good luck

I hope you are able to start breathing a sigh of relief. I know you

are still concerned about delivery, but I am one of the strange

people in the world who thinks there is nothing more fun than giving

birth. I've never done the C-section, but I have a friend who

thought hers was fun too.

Take it easy, try to enjoy this last respite with DH!!!

I will be so relieved when it is all over! He said he will do a c, put me out, check for any adhesions in or out of the uterus, fix them, sew me up, and then take the cerclage out. Sound like fun? I hope it is.

I hope you're feeling some peace of mind after what sounds like a

very challenging (to say the least) 35 weeks! Congratulations to

you. It will be wonderful to read a post-delivery post from you.

Take care,

J.

I am behind on all the latest details of the group, but caught your

recent message and don't know what PIH (or whatever you wrote)

means. If you have a chance, please explain. I am worried, but know

you are in great hands. Once you get back home and get into a

routine, please keep us posted as to how the delivery went and how

you and the baby are doing. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi everyone,

I went for an appointment with my OB yesterday. She felt my cervix

and said it feels " decent " , did an ultrasound to find the heartbeat

(I saw little baby wave to me - melt my heart) and announced that she

wants to go ahead with the cerclage on Monday. I will be just shy of

11 weeks.

She said she's doing it a bit early because the better my cervix is

when she does it the better chance of it working.

So, say a little prayer for me. I know I want it, but I'm nervous

after signing away on the risk factors.
