Guest guest
I have recently ordered from 3 different web sites and thought I would let you all know what I thought of the web sites, and the food Netrition.com - selection was ok (could be better), prices were really good, service was great. Ordered on Friday and received on Tuesday. ordered: Darrell Lea Strawberry chews - my husband says they are very good Darrell Lea Carmel chew - my husband says they are very good De-lite Milk Chocolate Bar - Very good, I think, better then Darrel Lea - does anyone know if it has the same bathroom effect as Darrel Lea? Zerocarb.com - great selection, average prices, shipping was good. Ordered on Tuesday received on Saturday ordered: Mountain Bread (Oat) - very good, I like to do taco's with them. Have to watch carb count Jokin Al Ketchup - very good a must have for meat loaf Jokin Al Grape Jelly - I haven't tried it, but the kids like it Better Bagels (plain) - I like them, but have to watch carb count Optimum Nutrition Shake Strawberry - YUCK, it tasted like medicine Optimum Nutrition Shake Chocolate - A little better (would not buy again), kind of reminded me of Slim Fast. Optimum Nutrition Shake Vanilla - Haven't wanted to try it. I made the shakes by the directions on the package, is there a different way that they taste better? Lowcarbtreats.com - great selection, average prices, shipping was slow -not the norm from when I used to order from them. Ordered on Wednesday 5/9 and was just emailed that it shipped out 5-14 and should be here in 2-5 days. ordered: Darrell Lea Milk Chocolate Bars - (they offered buy one get one free, can't pass that up) I have had them before but I find I like the De-lite ones better. Darrell Lea Strawberry chews - see netrition order above Darrell Lea Carmel chews - see netrition order above. Over all I like Netrition.com the best except the selection could be a little better, maybe I should e-mail them. Finally has anyone tried the Carbolite Chocolate Cheesecake mix? I ordered it from netrition to make for my husbands birthday. I benefit more than anyone from my choices. Guest guest
>>Were they the 100% egg/whey protein or the Complete Protein Diet shakes? Complete Protein Diet. Ill try the heavy cream when I try the vanilla. I benefit more than anyone from my choices. Guest guest
Hiya ... Thanks for the info on the different sites. I agree about netrition - fast but limited selection (and sometimes their prices aren't as low as some of the other sites). Sorry you didn't like the Optimum Nutrition shakes. Were they the 100% egg/whey protein or the Complete Protein Diet shakes? The Complete Protein Diet shakes are BY FAR my absolute favorite shakes that I have ever tried (and I swear I've tried darn near every different kind out there! LoL). In fact, I just finished drinking my strawberry shake for breakfast. In making them I crush up 4 ice cubes in the blender then add about 12-15 oz of water (and blend the two together for about 10 seconds just so the crushed ice doesn't stick to the sides of the blender) and then add the 2 scoops (or 1 packet) of powder and blend it all together on either the WHIP or the PUREE setting for about 2 min or so. I used to add 2tbsp of heavy cream before blending on whip/puree so you might want to try that, just be sure to count the carbs. You can also add some sugar-free syrups (maybe try strawberry syrup in your strawberry shake???) and see if that helps to make them more palatable for you. Guest guest
>>Did you buy the individual packets to try? I hope you aren't stuck with a >>large quantity since you don't like them :-( Yes, I bought the individual packets. I don't buy anything low carb in huge quality unless I already know I like it. I only try things that come in single servings, or smaller packs that aren't too expensive. I benefit more than anyone from my choices.
