Guest guest
Hi. I just joined this group and I need help. My daughter, Korynne, was just diagnosed with oral apraxia and possible echolalia. We are waiting to see a Pediatric Development doctor at AI DuPont hospital in Wilmington, DE. No appointments are available until after the 1st of the year. In the meantime, what can I do to help her. She is getting speech therapy 1x week and she does not desire to cooperate. She is 29 months old and has a short attention span, says about 10 words clearly and is truely frustrated to say the least. I want to help my daughter more than anything and every time I turn around, we hit a brick wall and then have to either wait, or we get steered in another direction. She had bilateral tubes inserted in December and they say her hearing is fine. She has normal receptive language skills. In addition, to add to my frustration, I have a 7 year old with ADHD, severe allergies and is going to be tested in September for learning disabilities. Also, I have a 20 month old son who is exhibiting aggressive behavior, but I thank goodness his verbal skills are good. Any help is appreciated! Thanks so much Laurie
Guest guest
I just want to thank everyone for the advice. I've decided to let dh take charge for now and just wait for an opportunity to talk to ds about it. Dh has taken him out for long car rides and talks, and we have gotten him a book entitled What's Going On Down There. It didn't seem too juvenile, so I hope it will help. I think the biggest thing is that he is now starting to see girls in a different light, and with all the changes happening in his body, he was just overwhelmed. At least we are homeschooling him this semester, so I don't have to worry about girls calling him and stuff. He doesn't like any of the girls at church, and they all think he is weird. But thanks again everyone. Also, Happy Mother's Day to everyone. Peggy " Buffy Anne Summers: She saved the world, a lot. Guest guest
I think besides the juice issue you need to address why you need to give ibuprofen in order for you son to be able to sleep- believe me I have been there too- what symptoms are you addressing with the ibuprofen? My 2 cents Ann

It can also be phenol intolerance, especially if you used apple or grape juice. http://www.danasview.net/yeast.htm http://www.danasview.net/phenol.htm >>Can I give him pear > juice or will that make yeast and bacteria grow too? This is better, especially if you dilute it. > How should I address this growth issue? I have Candex, GSE, OLE, AFP > Peptizyde, Zyme Prime and Multidopholous on hand. Candex, GSE, and multidophilus can work. Give the GSE separately from the multidophilus. Dana
Guest guest
Does he like lemonade? If so you could make lemonade with organic lemon juice, water, and stevia. I do this and my child drinks this all day long instead of watered down juice. She loves it and it helps reduce the sugar load considerably. I would REALLY try to get him off the ibuprofen. OLE, if you haven't tried it, helps with inflamation issues among other things. Sheresa > > I decided to start potty training my son yesterday. He took off with > it.
