Guest guest
i am truely torn as far as immunizations. i keep saying " he wont get them! " but cades had all of them so far. but while i fear the reactions he mught have from them and and the filth that is in them, i also fear cades getting this diseases. and , for me, the fear of him being taken away is huge, becuase , being a young mom, it would be easier to be charged with child abuse. but i HATE the idea of the vaccines themselves

It is because such a large precentage of people are getting shots (that number is now decreasing) that some desises just DON'T exist anymore!!! And that is great but if there are children out there who are not given shots then they are goign to be the ones with the worse reactions. I guess if you are not goign to give your child shots just pray that your child only hangs around children that have This is just my thoughts on it and like I said I do not know to much. Guest guest
>I don't know what nbsp is? > It is an HTML code that our email software sends out without our knowledge. I rarely use HTML in email, but told me that the & nbsp thing is in many of my messages. For HTML, it means Non Breaking SPace. I dont have any idea when, where or why it gets inserted into messages. And FWIW, I dont see it in mine or s or anywhere else. Sure wish you guys would show me where it gets inserted since it might help us learn how to not do it. And the same thing for the information I post. I think would agree with me that no one should have the sort of power to force you to do anything you arent comfortable with, and having the information to help you decide what makes you comfortable is the best way to AVOID feeling guilty -- even if the information itself makes you uncomfortable, as it has for many of us. Please, dont spare the information just to not overload us with email. I finally put this list in its own folder/via filter, and set up a download limit of 50k, which lets me choose if/when to download longer posts, and when I have the time to read/view them. Much easier! However, I would like to suggest to everyone that the delete quoted parts of the original email to the relevant parts to shorten download times, and the lengths of digests. I am one am very glad to have immunizations here for my kids. I believe in them & will vaccinate all my kids. Those stories, & major reactions are the minority. There are risks to everything. When you go out to eat you risk E-coli or hepatitis, but we still go out to eat. Anyway, I just want to say, not everyone feels as you do. And for telling Moms NOT to do it, well, we need to let them make up their own minds. It would be like me telling you go GO do it. Maybe, just pass the info & let it be at that. I for one am very glad my children will not have risk to whooping cough, German measles even chicken pox. I am glad vaccines are available in this day & age. Hopefully soon we will have one for TB & HIV. IMHO, & not trying to start a fight, but felt I need to present an opposite side. Guest guest
Amy, I don't think it is a matter of right and wrong. I think it is a matter of weighing the risks with each individual child and family. I also think that parents should be much better informed about what our vaccines are made with. I think that the medical community talks about informed consent but they only inform you of their perspective and then expect you to make an educated decision. I don't think it is a cut and dry decision but one that should be well researched. The medical community doesn't give us the opportunity to get this research. I had to change pediatricians several times because of their aggresive immunization policies. I feel that I am my child's advocate and have to make the best decision for him. I don't think anyone should feel guilty for choices they make although I do sometimes as well, but I know it isn't productive and just try to continue to inform myself. I think your viewpoint is entirely valid which is what makes this decision so difficult. I just know that if my child was the one child to die that year from an immunization I would never forgive myself, likewise if they died from a disease I didn't immunize for. It isn't an easy decision. Its one of the things that makes AP parenting so intensive. We can't just make a decision for our children based on the masses we need to customize that decision for each of our children. Its not easy and I think we should all give ourselves a big pat on the back for being such concerned mommy's. Wendi Re: immunizations and reactions From: Feb98@...
