He doesn't have Chiari, he has MS, but I'm sure he would understand us. I wrote him a long e-mail once explaining Chiari as best as I could. I was hoping that he might do a segment on his show about Chiari and help get some awareness out about it. When I went to send the e-mail ,my stupid computer decided to have a mind of its own and so I don't really know if Montel ever received my e-mail or not. I don't think he did. I know that some people get to surgery much quicker. I think it just depends on the various doctors and insurances involved. How's that for an answer that really didn't say anything. Guest guest
This week I have not lost any weight even though I have been walking. Have any of you had this same problem and is this normal? I am 5 weeks post-op. Australia
Guest guest
Your body is playing catch up. It is normal to hit plateaus of a week or a few days. Your doing fine. Just keep your sights to the weight loss ahead > > This week I have not lost any weight even though I have been walking. > Have any of you had this same problem and is this normal? Guest guest
yes it happens, and keep in mind that when you are exercising you may be building muscle and still losing, the muscle weighs heavier. I had the same problem... it caught up to me later. best wishes and KEEP GOING!!! Shauna CropKitty@... wrote: In a message dated 6/15/2006 2:27:10 A.M. Guest guest
I had jaw pain a month or so ago. Turned out to be abscessed teeth, but the pain started in my jaw. I can never remember what the letters stand for but I do know others who have it along with fibro and a bunch of other things. One friend who is battling cancer has to watch what she eats so that she doesn't trigger a bout with TMJ. Don't know if an MD or a dentist is correct person to see for the condition, but am sure someone here can tell you. Good luck --- and I have heard it is very painful. __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Hi. I am new to fibro just diagnosed, but I have had swelling behind my knees for months and my doc said he sees swelling with fibro. One of the doctors I see says his mom has the condition and she swells. But I would be check for blood clots if I were you just to be sure. It's very dangerous and life thretening. Not that I am trying to scare you, but my doctor had me checked for that before anything. Just a thought. Better to be safe than sorry. I am actually a little surprised they have not checked you for that yet. Or have they?? Good luck at the doctor, and let me know how it goes. Jerilyn > > Is swelling caused by FM?
