The way you make it sound is that people from other countries are not Welcome to go to the next conference so if thats not how you mean it then I would reword it so people don't take it the wrong way.....I think no matter where you live everyone should be welcome because the more people there the better..... let me just throw a few things out there. I was not there the first year but I am told there were a lot more patients. This year there more medical people. having both is very important. the other thing is to honest with your guys with decreased mobility even at the NIH you would have had difficulty-the parking was weird and I don't know how you would dealt with it. and security was wicked. we -susie are you online- we discussed a lot of thing one being the problem of getting people there.  then it was discussed about having regional meetings and even local meetings. I am planning something for down here maybe in the fall before the season starts. but for the annual conference Dr Gluck wants someone who is a person that actually uses LDN.I understand but I think where ever it is it needs to be easy for people to get to --i would suggest orlando -the weather is gorgeous in april -and one can get very inexpensive flights and and affordable hotels . the only thing on the other side is having it someplace like nih or at some prestigious science place gives it a lot of credence --so there are lots of things to think about.i have some other ideas just to make everyone elses life easier.cyndiThe way you make it sound is that people from other countries are not Welcome to go to the next conference so if thats not how you mean it then I would reword it so people don't take it the wrong way.....I think no matter where you live everyone should be welcome because the more people there the better..... Always,Crystalwensu baki <wensubar@...> wrote:Wouldn't people from other counries still be welxome?W2--- Bren wrote:> > We aren't expecting those abroad in far away> countries to attend.> > Maybe those of you not in the USA could organize a> conference for your particular country.> > > > > > > __________________________________________________

Cyndi,

The fascility that will be chosen will definitly be handicapped accessible.

Maybe a hospital or hotel. Many people have complained that the conference was

too far on the east coast. Dr. McCandless has already shown her interest in

speaking next year if it does not interfere with her DAN conference.

Yes, those in other countries are welcome to come. I just meant that we are not

expecting those who are so far away to spend thousands of dollars to attend the

conference but that if anyone from abroad could attend it would be great.

Is the conference in April? I am just getting in on this conversation. I can't believe that until three weeks ago I had never heard of LDN and the person I heard about it from doesn't even have MS and I have had MS since 1987. It really irritates me that there are so many people on this and for a while now and it hasn't been recognized by the MS Society. It's too bad that things are held back due to political and money reasons instead of looking at the mere fact that this is something that is going to help a LOT of people.

Hi Peg. The MS Society knows about LDN (see this link: http://www.nationalmssociety.org/Clinup-Naltrexone.asp) but they clearly regard it as unproven--until someone does clinical trials.

Yeah, I know the MS Society knows about LDN because I wrote to them regarding it and they tried to sweep it under the rug, so to speak. I wrote back since I have heard so much from this group and the LDN web-site and now they don't even answer me.
