Good for you Kim. I know that was hard. I probably would have caved thinking,

" Oh well this is my last chance before surgery. " Great Job!!!!

Ever since I found out I was approved for surgery,I have tried to cut

down portions & cut out all alchohol.Usually I would have a couple

drinks at a party or at home but tonight I abstained.Just about

everything she had there was alcohol. All the fruit was soaked in

it,desserts,etc.

It was hard seeing everyone else around me enjoying the drinks &

getting tipsy but I did it!

This will be one of the hardest things for me to adjust to.Especially

since my husband drinks beer every night.

I realize that losing weight is more important to me that a few

relaxation drinks.

Ok,thanks for letting me spill that here.

Kim,

I know it is hard and I'm really proud of you!!!! But you know

what??? You will be able to eventually have this again and do these

things again. It will all just be in moderation. I have an occasional

glass of wine. I have an occasional dessert. The difference between

now and then, I have 1 glass of wine, I have a few bites of desert.

This isn't the end of all of that. You will need to stay away from it

until you loose the majority of your weight. Then you can start

introducing them back in to your life but in moderation!! You will

need to relearn how to eat and it sounds like you are taking steps to

do that now. Like I said I'm really proud of you!!!!! Hang in there!!!

HUGS!!!!

-- Hard to adjust

I attended a pampered chef get together tonight.
