Guest guest
Hi JL, That dosage sounds good to me, I don't know of any other drug that can be taken to enhance the Zithromax, maybe someone else on the list does. The doxy is good, because in case you have coinfections of Ehrlichiosis, or Rocky Mt.. Spotted fever. This sounds like a good combo to me and should have you herxing in no time. Hugs, Marta - >From: ne Kieffer <theocean@...> > >My doc just put me on 600mg of Zith once a day and 100mg of Doxy twice a >day for two months to start with. Guest guest
Hi -- I've been reading and following ya'll for about a week and a half now so that I can get a little more up to speed and not ask redundant questions. We've got a hair elements test out and will begin chelating soon. Here's the question. Someone said something about Andy's " really high " recommendations for daily CLO (Vit A). Where *is* all that information? I've got the dosages for DMSA and ALA (though I'm still not clear if you can just skip the first part of just the DMSA and go right to the combination of the two), but as far as how much GSE, Culterelle, probiotics, milk thistle, 5 HTP, zinc/picolinate, Vit B, Vit A, Vit C (yeah, I've been reading, but can't get a lock on how much) and any other vitamins I need (and do I need all of these? From what I can gather from reading ya'll I do), I have no idea how much and how often. And do I include Moducare and Transfer Factor or are those optional? If there is a link would someone please post it for me? That way I don't have to bug all of you " old timers " with my rookie questions! :0) Without knowing it all of you have been such a great help! I'm glad ya'll are here. Thank you for any direction you can point me in! :0) Ginger
Guest guest
Hi Ginger, Please refer to message 41465 for a start. If you go to the files section, then click on AndyIndex, head down to the section in AndyIndex about supplements and there's quite a few messages that give dosages of different supplements. Take care, Becky --- In , " Ginger " <Reuschling@w...> wrote: > Hi -- > > I've been reading and following ya'll for about a week and a half now so that I can get a little more up to speed and not ask redundant questions. > > We've got a hair elements test out and will begin chelating soon. Guest guest
> We've got a hair elements test out and will begin chelating soon. Here's the question. Someone said something about Andy's " really high " recommendations for daily CLO (Vit A). Where *is* all that information? I've got the dosages for DMSA and ALA (though I'm still not clear if you can just skip the first part of just the DMSA and go right to the combination of the two), I can answer that " the simple way " or " the complicated way " . The " simple " answer is " yes, you can " . If this is enough to satisfy you, very good. The more complex answer, which, BTW, is summarized here: /files/Andy_dose_sched is that there are not set rules for which chelation agent(s) to use when, there are a number of ways to do it that are fine, and there are ALSO a number of factors that MAY affect your choice. These factors include: 1. ALA crosses the BBB and can move mercury INTO the brain as well as out. Which it does depends on where there is more mercury. Andy suggests waiting at least 3 months after mercury exposure before using ALA, for this reason. A number of doctors and the DAN protocol suggest using DMSA first by itself, for this reason. This may be overly cautious, but caution is not a bad thing..... 2. ALA is sulfury, and kids who are high sulfur may be uncomfortable taking it. 3. ALA crosses the BBB (DMSA doesn't) so you NEED to use ALA at some point, whereas DMSA is optional. For mercury, that is. (DMSA is necessary for lead). So, in further answer to your comment, you do not have to " go on " to ALA+DMSA. You could just use ALA by itself. I hope this is helpful. > but as far as how much GSE, Culterelle, probiotics, milk thistle, 5 HTP, zinc/picolinate, Vit B, Vit A, Vit C (yeah, I've been reading, but can't get a lock on how much) and any other vitamins I need (and do I need all of these? Guest guest
Danny, I've been with this group on and off for over two years, and weight has never seemed to have any effect on the correct dosage. For example, it seems that more men do better on 3 mg than on 4.5... Did you have this terrible leg stiffness and pain before beginning LDN? Dr. Lawrence in the UK recommends daily supplements to combat stiffness, specifically: 500 mg magnesium, 1000 mg calcium, and 2-3 grams of GABA. Information about supplements is in the welcome package that Aletha sends out to newcomers. Have you received it?
Guest guest
Kudos to you for learning HOW to calculate this type of problem I have tutorial in the overflow site on this type of dosage problem which I call weight problems. The problem reads: " Calculate the total daily dosage " So even though it gave you MORE information than required to do so (the drug is given in three divided doses) you simply calculate it based upon the patients wt divided by 2.2 lbs/kg and then multiply by the dose per kg to get the daily dose. (175 / 2.2) x 40 = daily dose = 3182 rounded to nearest whole number = 3180 mg/day And you are also correct IF the question asked for the amount of drug per dose it would be: 3180/3 =1060 mg per dose. And IF the question read the dose in grams it would be 3.18 grams per day and 1.06 grams per dose respectively. I add this because some PTCB questions and study guide questions may ask you to convert at the end when you least expect it. 'We' have a tendancy to answer the question the way that is most familiar to us. Sometimes we overlook the 'fine print' . I think you are doing great! Keep up the good work! I got 3,180 (which is the correct answer), but I go one step futher and divide 3,180 by 3 divided doses which gives me 1,060 (the wrong answer). I tend to go too far or not far enough with my answers.
