yeast infection with menstrual period

Hi Ladies

I need some advice. I was just diagnosed as having a yeast

infection. Doctor put me on diflucan. I also just got my period

today. I believe it is a no no to use tampons with a yeast

infection. One problem pads arereally irritating to me since I have

VVS. Believe it or not I find tampons mor comfortable. So my

dilema is what should I do? Any suggesstions on comfortable pads, I

don't think cotton ones would be ok since I think that would also

bother me.

I have come up with a fairly satisfactory solution. Old cotton underwear -

cut into suitable size, folded over 3 times and pinned to my underwear.

Still has the soft underwear texture, just is more thickly folded. I have

also begun using old white cotton T.shirts - the fronts of which I manage to

stain just about on the first wear. (Men's undershirts are best) The thinner

and softer the cotton the easier it is to cope with the material as a pad.

Underwear is best.
