Guest guest
Has anyone ever used Wheat Germ Oil on the diet? I had never read anything about it until recently I bought a book at the half price book store that caught my eye called " The complete fats & oil book " . It is an older book (1990) more of an informational book about not using too much fat & oils in your everyday diet. Anyway there was a section on Wheat Germ Oil where I read the following sentence: " Dr. Helmut Prahl, executive director for the Dynatron Research Foundation in Madison, Wisconsin, says that diseases of the central nervous system generally respond to octacosanol. Even conditions as diverse as arthritis, multiple sclerosis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, stroke, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, and Parkinson's disease have shown symptomatic reductions with octacosanol supplementation. " Octacosanol is a substance that occurs in Wheat Germ Oil. It didn't mention anything about epilepsy. (Mallorie's mom)
