Guest guest
Dave, I have been on LDN three weeks now. I've had days when my left leg felt harder to deal with too. Like today I'm not feeling as strong as I did earlier in the week. My leg feels heavier but my toes have more feeling. I felt so good the first few days. When I didn't feel as good the next few I got nervous. Others who have been on it longer told me things can go up and down. Some have said it took six months or longer and to stick with it. I have heard that having Candida can cancel LDN effects. I was expecting a miracle right away. I got one, but it is a little more subtle. I am going to keep on taking it. Even though I am not walking and may never walk again I'm still glad I have more feeling in my toes. To me that means it's working. Several have talked about having stiffness and/or spasms. My legs got stiff too. I read where magnesium and calcium can help that. I just got some in the mail today. I'll see if it helps. Today I have more neuropathy in my left hand. Last week I had hardly any. My right hand feels good. Go figure. Pam
Guest guest
Dave, I'm on my 9th week. My symtoms are up and down daily. However, since starting LDN (4.5mg), my bad days aren't as bad and my good days are better. Today for instance I was out shopping at WalMart, walked around the parking lot and went to the library. Three days ago I was motivated to just stay in bed. Today was GREAT! Hang in there. Edreddinsam <davereddin@...> wrote: I started LDN 5 weeks ago I was two weeks on 4.5mg found it difficult to sleep so went down to 3mg. I've been on 3mg for 3 weeks now and my MS seems to have got worse when I say worse I am finding more difficult to use my left leg (which was a problem since before I was diagnosed. Is there any person with ms having the same problem and how long must a person be on LDN before he sees a change for the good. I know some people find the benefit almost immediately but I am sure there are people who find it took longer I would like to know how long it took for some people.Thanking you in anticipationDave (NEW MEMBER)
Guest guest
Dave, I have been on LDN for 7 weeks now, and I have alot of improvements, stronger right foot, numb butt is MUCH better, burning nerve pain much improved, less stiffness, can withstand heat much more, better sleep, good energy level. I have one problem and that is muscle cramping. From the second week on, it seems to have just increased so I am at 3.0 and thinking of going lower to see if it subsides. I read a post where someone said another person on this site increased their spasm medication and upped the LDN. I may resort to that. I even went back through some old posts (up to 2004) and found alot of people with this problem, even people getting cramping/spasms when they had none before. So I just need to find a solution to the cramping. I've tried quinine pills, calcium/mag., etc. and I may go back on baclofen. I stopped it after two weeks because my stiffness was so improved. I too have good and bad days. Hope you improve. I think I even read (?) it can take up 6 mos to a year to be sure the progression has stopped. Sincerely, Annette

Guest guest
IT IS REALLY A GOOD SIGN THAT YOUR NEUROPATHY COMES AND GOES. iT MEANS THE DAMAGE ISN'T PERMANENT. iT IS A GOOD TIME TO MANAGE OR CONTROL THE MS BEFORE IT TRIES TO CONTROL YOU. Annette yes, Dr Bihari recommends staying on ldn at least 6 to 9 months. I saw a little improvement in bladder control after 8 months. I stay on it b/c I believe it has stopped progression, which is its main purpose. Be well Arlene (SPMS on ldn since April, 2004)

Guest guest
Arlene, Sorry about that! Yes, I figured if my foot, bladder and nerve pain keep improving, the progression could be doing the same. My only problem is the cramping is just getting worse, but I am determined to stay on LDN. Thanks again, Annette
Guest guest
, Strange, but I don't have a problem at night? It's during the day when walking around I feel the cramping since starting LDN. Thanks, Annette

Guest guest
Annette, Try the soap as suggested. Also I will forward on some earlier chats regarding cramping. Thanks Aletha Re: [low dose naltrexone] LDN & MS for Dave Arlene, Sorry about that! Yes, I figured if my foot, bladder and nerve pain keep improving, the progression could be doing the same.
