Guest guest
Oh, Debbie, can I ever relate to what you're going through! This is my most common pain, and one that I work on with yoga. The adductor muscles are the ones that are screaming here, and they can be challenging to relax. Warm baths (preferrably in a jacuzzi) help the most. Massage often makes it worse. Walking helps. I let my rheumatologist know about this ache the last time I saw him, and he told me that it's pretty common among his FMS patients. D. > Hi all, > > I have very bad pain in an odd area. Guest guest
How funny, I thought I was the only one with this. A few years ago, I was bowling with my kids and we were speeding through a line of bowling to get done before the alley closed. All of the sudden I went to throw the bowl and something in hip just went " zing " and its hurt ever since. I have periods where it stops or isn't as bad and I've had it xrayed what not - no explanation just this nagging pain if I sit too long, stand too long, walk too long. Right on the " butt " bone as I call it. Feels like you are sitting with a tennis ball under your butt cheek. I take Mobic when it gets really bad. Guest guest
Thanks and ! I don't feel so alone now. I have been sitting on a heat pad or ice most of the day. Ice helps better. Where can I find Mobic? What is it anyway? I took a Darvocet about an hour ago and it's helped some. Hopefully my rheum can give me something else for it. hugs, Debbie J
Guest guest
This sounds like what I have. I have what is called SI Joint pain. It is the joint where your pelvis and spine all connect and the tissue and joint get inflames. Ask your ortho or neuro if you have one. I have SI injections that I get that sometimes ease it up but I mostly do therapy. Hope this helps. God Bless. Dawn deebs87 wrote: Hi all, I have very bad pain in an odd area. Guest guest
Hi Dawn, Are SI joints in your very low back area on each side? My pain is much lower, to the right of my pubic area, in my gluteal area. Thanks for sharing. Debbie J -- In Fibromyalgia_Support_Group , Dawn wrote: > > This sounds like what I have. Guest guest
Debbie: Mobic is similar to Celbrex or Vioxx both of which were recently taken off the market. Its not as strong and doesn't have the same side effects. Mobic is what most Dr's are prescribing for inflammatory types of pain these days since they can no longer prescribe Celebrex or Vioxx. Hope that helps. It's like ibuprofrin times 10..

I thought only Grannies got that! LOL! It is deep. The bursa gets inflamed with walking too. If my hubby accidentally thwacks my hip while I am laying on one side I will scream outloud in my sleep. I also have my hips " get stuck " . Like if I was sitting in a chair and needed to open my knees wider. Then the tendon or what ever is holding it will make a pop or snap that hurts LIKE CRAZY and it is released. I am going to have them do the cortisone injections in both hips while I am out for the injections into the spine. I have these visions of me drinking water and looking like a fountain. Good luck! Guest guest
Hi Barbara, Thanks for writing. I saw my rheum today and he said my piriformis muscle is inflammed. It's a muscle that starts at our sacrum and extends to hip bone on right side. He said to only use heat. Avoid walking, bending and squatting. He did give me a Medrol dose pack which should help my shoulder, too. Maybe when you try to open your knees when sitting, you might be straining your piriformis. It control rotational moves with your legs. Since I am now 50 I can be a granny! Hope you feel better soon. Debbie J > > > I have a similar issue but my Dr.said it was bursitis. Guest guest
Thanks for the information. My rheum gave me Lodine which is what my GI doc recommended. It doesn't harm the stomach as much as others. Tomorrow I will start my Medrol pack and it should help with the pain. I used to take Vioxx until my insurance changed. It's good I stopped it before it was taken off the market. I can't take Celebrex because of my sulfa allergy.
