Guest guest
[Lesley] Does it run true for spots, as in 'One spot doth not a (chicken)pox make'? [sue] My friend's 7wo has developed chicken pox this week, exactly two weeks after his 2yo brother. Just as my friend had begun to believe that fully breastfed did mean full immunity :-( Funny thing was, her HV visited her on Wednesday and told her that it couldn't possibly be chicken pox as she was breastfeeding and must be a heat rash. I guess since I'm writing this on Saturday morning you already have your answer......
Guest guest
DD2 has a few more spots today, so I guess she has succumbed to chickenpox. So far, they don't actually look like chickenpox, but I can't see what else it could be. She is not unwell, so I hope she won't have too many and it will be over soon. Better go and break the news to the bride-to-be!! Lesley --------------- Oh dear Lesley....but there`s nowt you can do about it so stay calm.... Guest guest
> DD2 has a few more spots today, so I guess she has succumbed to chickenpox. Might not be wroth worrying about Lesley. Steffi's spots never got to more than a couple of dozen and they were mainly confined to her torso. She had one on her face, IIRC. She wasn't unwell with it either. I bought Piriton and calamine aqueous cream (much nicer than lotion) from the chemist - never opened the Piriton and barely used the cream. Everyone tells me getting off so lightly means she'll get it again so we'll have to wait and see. Good luck! -- Sue

I spoke to the bride-to-be this afternoon and she's got her first ever bout of cystitis.........pre-honeymoon!!!!!!!! ;-))) Lesley
Guest guest
I had about a dozen pox and my brother only 8 and neither of us has gotten it again (knock on wood!), though I bet we have been exposed since (he was 5 and I was 3), at least when our younger sister had a case that covered every inch of her body when she was 5 (though our small immunity might have been intact at that point, since it was only a few years later).
